No support from the Child Support Agency

December 15, 2012

I would like to know why when my payments are made to you by the 19th of each month why i have to call up and ask when they will be paid to me as i believe if not been paid by 24th then to contact but i am sick fed up doing this.

I have a case with the case examiner ongoing has been for over a year as you are only paying me £40 a week when should be £50. You say im overpaid in which is the reason i have went took this case further but i would like a text to tell me when my payment paid into my account.

To be told im not entitled to this service but my colleague in work gets it. I think the full csa is a joke i’m out more pocket with calls and emails etc to you and to no avail my faith is gone with you – support agency there is no support.

Im sure you are aware this is not the CSA. Im sure others will answer your questions better than I can but I can advise if you join the facebook groups Child Support Agencies Failings and other groups – you can get advice and support form others who are going through similar or have achieved the help and advice needed for them.

the employer has up to the 19th of each month to send the money to the agency, depending on if the payment is made by cheque or BACs there is varying bank clearance times. One the money had cleared it will be sent out to the PWC. If the employer has multiple employees with DEOs they will send one payment and a list of NRPs and how much for each, the banking team at the CSA then have to manually allocate each individual payment to the appropriate case, this can take a few days for them to get through all the DEO payments coming in on that date.
The CSA offer a text alert service, you can request the number over the phone and then call to register your mobile no,or the csa case officer can email the text alert service dept and register your mobile no for you. Once registered you will receive a text telling you when the payment has been made, you should then allow 2-3 banking days for the money to clear into your account.

If you have had an over-payment your payments will be reduced until the over-payment has cleared

~ An employer has until the 19th of the FOLLOWING month after the deduction was made, to make the payment to the agency.
