No Payemts for 4 years
I am a grandfather of 68 and took my grandchildren in over 10 years ago and have had trouble with obtaining funds from csa.
I have two children from two different fathers and have apparently been paying the csa but the payments I recently found out have been on hold by the csa as they dont want to overpay me. I asked the person on the phone when I was last paid anything and he confirmed 2007.
I have been in severe finantial conditions as I have been using credits cards over the years to bring the kids up and it has now become too much and have had to enter proceeding with the Citizen advice to stop a bankruptcy due to all these problems.
I was assured 4 weeks ago this would be sorted and all the money on hold which they told me was a considerable amount would be paid.!!! csa would not tell me the money figure currently held and have still not paid anything.
I have been in touch with my local mp who offered little help, Ice said they would sort it but,I had a call quickly from csa but still nothing being received. They have admitted maladministration previously and paid me £100 for their incompetence, but the incompetence goes on.??
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

i have been paying child maint with csa since 1995 & the nightmare continues. I have been harrassed, victimized, & treat like a criminal even though i pay what they ask & have done all these years. It is a vicious, outdated chaotic organization that has long required closing down. God only knows how many fathers have committed suicide because of the csa.
I have 3.5 years left to pay, & am counting the months down till this `sentence` ends. By the way my former wife has re-married & has a large detatched house in a fashionable area. No justice for Dads!!!
Actually you are wrong David as you are paying for the system that is full of flaws and not fair to many, mothers as well as fathers, as my case is due to a self employed ‘father’ and I use that term loosely!
Please join the facebook groups child support agencies failings, and others for free advice and support from many whether mothers/fathers/nrp/pwc, etc about their experiences, what they have done/did, achieved, etc.

I have recently obtained the direct line number for the head of complaints at the CSA. Her name is Norma Ellis and I’m sure that shewould love to hear from you, maybe if all the people who have a problem with the CSA jam her line up with complaints she is going to have to take some sort of notice!!! The number is 01912351022 best of luck.
