My ex went to the CSA despite me paying more than I needed to

My ex went to CSA despite me paying more than neccessary and her total earning being £200 p week more than mine.Financially she wins as I am taking half the debt but giving her the house and equity in exchange for keeping my pension.None of this matters as much as the kids. She cut down my contact when she went to the csa and has currently threatened to go back to them if I dont sign to her wishes in the next week and a half.

I thought things were changing with csa and they would start looking at NRPS living costs as well?Is that right or wrong? Also I thought that if you had an agreement in place and it was being paid that they wouldnt take on new cases and were even disbanding?Have I got all this wrong? It would finish me off having to deal with them again but most of all I want to see more of my kids but seem to be screwed as a male and a NRP in the uk!Its eeems so unfair-I work full time to be worse off, lose my house and hardly see my children.

  1. I don’t think there is anything u can do to stop her going to the csa, but if she does, u probably wouldn’t have to pay her as much as u r doing now and there’s nothing she can do about that. If u still want to pay te extra for ur kid/s, just set up a savings account for them and give it to then when they r older.
New cases r encouraged to deal with tree own arrangements but they won’t not take a case on. And as far as I’m aware, u get assessed on ur take home pay regardless of what u pay out for living

  2. Open a case yrself as the NRP and that way you have all the control and she cant close it down 🙂 we did it and are now laughing at her not the other way round x
Sadly they dont care about yr living costs just the amount they want and it also dosent matter that you gave her the home as ull still pay and would of been better off just selling it and splitting it down the middle x

  3. You can apply for variation if you open your own case they will take into account previous debt which has to be related to the property the child/ren lived in our past debt that was something to d

  4. Do with the kids, mileage can be taken into account also in the variation, so it’s useful to apply for all the reduction you can
