My ex owes £2000 but the CSA are ignoring me – what can I do?

My son has been awarded £59 a week from his father, this account is now £2000+ in arrears and there has been no money since jan 2013 – can someone please inform us of what is going on?

Also at the same time as i made the application for this son, I made one for my other son. To date nothing has been done about this and I contacted the agency by phone in jan 2013 and was advised to make a new claim and a new package would be sent out to me at my address – also this has not arrived, can someone please send out a pack?

Sincerely

  1. Margaret,

This is not the CSA, its a website that helps parents with their issues with them.

If there has been delays with your initial case, you will need to contact the CSA directly and find out what has caused such.

If you require info to make another application you can go to the the govenerments website, link below
    https://www.gov.uk/child-maintenance/how-to-apply

It also advises that a claim can take anywhere between 12 – 26 weeks, sometimes longer, to process.

  2. Like clintons reply for sure
Stop expecting him to be a ATM machine. Get a f****ing job. To many of you mothers think that the father is the only one in a relationship breakup that should pay for the kids…it should be 50/50 end of…no arguments.
In my ex’s own patronising words to me ” it’s not my fault you have to pay so much CSA,it’s the law, nothing to do with me” lol…nothing to do with her…bitch…not her fault….but HELL ,she is more than happy with the result….I could almost see her sniggering when she typed those words…..c****t
    Gonk

  3. Ignore the bullies, but you need to put everything in writing, recorded delivery and keep dates and copies of everything. You need to chase constantly but if you want more advise you wont get many on here with that as you have probably read above! Join the facebook group child support agencies failings.

  4. I agree that there should be a general amount paid to support children from previous relationships, however more than most don’t pay a bean and continue to avoid supporting children, there should be legal CSA enforcement at the time of separation/divorce……………I for one see both sides My Sons Father pays nothing and never has, loosing our home and everything else, he went off to his new life new partner new baby, yet my new partner pays for one son no problems and is happy to do so even if he struggles its his duty to do so, All these men that do not pay should have more done to make them pay.
