My ex is refusing to pay even though he works full time – what do I do?
hi I was with my ex for 6 years we have 2 children together 5 and 7 how ever he stopped paying maintence about 4 months ago he doesn’t see my children as they don’t want to see him,his girlfriend had a baby last year and she has a son from a previous relationship.
he refuses to pay me maintence even though he works full time.
could you please advise me what steps to take next please.

If he won’t be reasonable and make an arrangement to support his children then you have to what’s right by them after all they are entitled to be supported by both parents and if they don’t want to see him that’s their decision not yours
Unless your ex is a very nasty person I can see no reason as to why the children would not want to see him. Maybe that’s why he is not paying. Maybe he feels you do not encourage the children. My own boys are nearly 5 & 6 and despite my exes best efforts to alienate our children they still have a great time when they are with me. I’m afraid your letter comes across as someone who is very bitter and wants to have his money and deny the children access to their father. I could be wrong, but that’s how I interpret what you’ve written.
