My ex doesn’t need the CSA payments but she’s asking for more – what can i do?
My two children are living my ex after a separation three years ago. A court order was issued granting me shared residence. I travel 300 miles north twice a month to see my children for the weekend, in an hotel, and they spend in my home in the South 2/3 of their school holiday. I have spent on average over the last 3 years £2300 a month, well documented, to see and look after my children, remotely as a non resident parent.
On top of that the CSA requires me to pay 240£ a month.
My ex partner earns 150 000£ a year, lives with somebody earning around £50k a year, lives in a 5 bedroom house, maintains three cars and takes several holidays abroad a year.
My ex- partner does not need the CSA payment but is complaining it is not enough. Pure greed.
This situation is not right or fair.
Any thing I can do?
Thanks

Your children would cost you a lot more than £60 a week if they lived with you to be fair….. your ex’s finances are nothing to do with your providing for your children…..
Though technically they (finances) should be as it its both of your responsibilities; however it is a discriminatory system to NRPs… Your responsibility after basics should be your choice and should be within your means, to many people are placed in debt by this agency……No-body knows how much it costs a week to provide for your child Mel some people have a family to provide for for less than £60……. The CSA assessment / formula approach does not work it is negligent to say the least…. They do not place a child’s needs first, but I think that expenses to see your child are taken into consideration.
