My daughter is being paid for an apprenticeship – should her father have to pay?

My daughter is 18 she is doing an Apprentiship for an NVQ Level 2 it is through the government apprentiship scheme, with a learning provider, she is paid £2.60 ph. does her father still need to pay mainainance? Obviously she can’t support herself on these wages. So I have to support her, does that not also apply to the NRP?

  1. Are you still in receipt of child benefit? Some paid apprenticeships are classed as employment so you will not be entitled to child benefit which is what the csa go by when collecting maintenance. My advice is speak to
the child benefit office who will be able to guide you further.
