My dad says he’ll stop paying when my current course finishes, but I plan on doing level 2
Hi im 18 years old and i am in full time education doing more than 12 hours. I do Painting and decorating Level 1 Diploma. My dad says he is going to stop paying the CSA when my course finishes which is August/July. But i am doing another year by going onto level 2. I am not in any employment at the moment, but i am soon going to find a job. Should my dad be paying the CSA through to next year when im 19 years old and until i have finished level 2 at college?
Thanks
Kyle

You don’t care bout your dad
If you cared about your dad. You. Would. Let. Him stop paying ! Get a job like the rest of students! Or get a grant. From the government!!!! So I say I agree with your dad. Ffs your an adult grow up
Adult support agency it should be called
To be fair you are 18 and now an adult, maybe getting a job and supporting yourself is the best way to go, i cant blame your dad really, its the CHILD Support Agency not the ADULT support agency
Did your money grabbing mum get you to write this?
Get a job you bone idle last bastard, and stop leaching off your father
Oops, last should read lazy
As a PWC with a child who wishes to study, in the future, law to proceed in there chosen field I have already advised them that I will not be in a financial position to support them and that more then probably will there father. Hence I have advised them to look towards employment for funding…..JUST LIKE COLLEGE KIDS IN THE STATES…to them it is the norm. SO may I suggest BOY you take your head out of your A*****SE, grow up & always remember that in life there is no such thing as a free lunch when it comes to education….if you want it so bad YOU PAY FOR IT….your parents have been paying long enough son…get out into the real world dear
I don’t think that this young person deserves to be insulted for wanting some financial support whilst studying towards getting a job….. Am glad that s/he is actually getting an education, qualifications to better his/her work prospects. It is very hard to find a job to finance studies these days, especially when you are on a full-time course, none of you know if this young adult already has a little job, none of you know this young person’s personal circumstances, don’t judge and don’t insult because of a genuine question…… is her/his father supposed to support him/her for an extra year? in my view: yes. What is a year in a lifetime? People all too easily kick their children out as soon as they reach the age of 18…. why? Once you have a child, YOU are a parent for the rest of your life, think about it…..
18.they are.no longer a child, 18 in law states.they are an adult, whats an.extra year to get screwed to.death with csa,.i.agree with.the above, get a job and support yourself
I have worked since I was 15 Years of age, and cannot understand any child wishing to “SPONGE” off their parents until 20 Years of age, I once became unemployed through no fault of my own , and was refused any benefits by the DWP because (As they termed it)” I was failing to maintain myself” I had to get married at 18 Years of age, began paying child maintenance and have paid for the last 40 Years without a break. I have strived for Years to attain my ideal job, working within the Civil Service so that I would have a small pension when I retire, now thanks to the CSA SCUM I can no longer afford to travel to and from work, so will no longer be in employment, so now have no pension when I retire, and with the made up arrears the CSA SCUM have falsified….. I have no future. One of my children was murdered in a street robbery in 2007, there was no help, no advice…just nothing, I am entitled to nothing as a NRP, now my youngest child who is 18 years of age was in full time employment, has give up his job to go to college and play the guitar (purposely failing to maintain himself) and I have the CSA SCUM doing their best to ruin me
I agree with your dad you should get a job and support your self it sounds to me you are boneidle.
You had this coming and deserve it.like lisa said its CSA ( for what that’s worth) not ASA . Get a bloody job and stop screwing your dad….trouble with kids today…want money for nothing. I was out of school at 16 and into work, earning £16 a week and having to give my parents half of that.
Gonk
Well said lizzy
Sadly tho…like so many people inc the free loaders..ie..young single mothers, young adult scroungers, piss head lazy bastards who actually believe the country owes them something for nothing…instilled into them by their lazy bastard parents.logically…why would they think any different when they have been born into this something for nothing culture.its a well known fact that parents living this lifestyle educate their daughters to get banged up because then you will get state handouts and a free roof over your head, all the rent paid,no council tax AND if you know who the father/s are ? You can milk them as well to add to your benefit booty.

Kyle,
The CSA age limit for a qualifying child changed from 19 to 20 years on 10/12/12, if they continued to meet the criteria.
The link below will take you to an overview for the CSA

Melinda Bas
Another clueless that obviously has no idea why any of us are on this site or how the CSA treat us.
Your remark ” what is a year in a lifetime”
Well what’s years and years of being robbed obscene amounts of money in your time time melinda? It’s far from one yr in a lifetime. You are obviously another pro CSA supporter who is not effected one way or another financially by these robbing bastards. And just because you are a parent for the rest of your life does not mean you have to carry on supporting them for the rest of your life.ever seen the film melinda, called ” pay it forward” I suggest you do so.

@ Chall
If you actually speak to CSA the majority of people paying for children till they are 20 only comes under CS3 rules, As for the poster, why should his poor father foot the bill anymore, this is getting pathetic with the amount of money that dads have to fork out, its going to have to stop somewhere, Maybe people should just stop using them for making a point, then people will get treated better and fathers not just seen as a bloody meal ticket
Myself as a father getting embezzeled out of my wages for a 18 year old son, I would have no problem helping him out when he is in need and for the corect things and education is one of them, its just giving money to a benifit cheat for a “MAN ” pisses me off !!!!!!
The up to the child’s 20th birthday’ rule applies to all cases regardless of which scheme the case is on
Quote lisa
‘If you actually speak to CSA the majority of people paying for children till they are 20 only comes under CS3 rules’
If you actually read the legislation, you would see that was incorrect.
@ chall – yet again you quote legislation and miss the point entirely!! in the REAL world what’s written as legislation is not always followed and as Lisa emphasised… if you SPEAK to CSA staff you will find that upon implementation of that legislation CSA staff are concentrating on those who are under CSA 3 rules!!!!
This does not mean that she is wrong, it means that the CSA staff seem to be concentrating on applying the legislation to new/CSA 3 cases!!!
The main reason people come on to this site to complain/seek advice is because what they read as legislation/rules is not what’s applied in their situation!!!
Agree with sally…maybe someone should inform their staff about LEGISLATION, or proper training full stop so you don’t get different things by different agents
Too right Sally
As usual spouting legislation and not seeing the point unless it hit both chall and alice clean between the eyes.
Alice…A 20 yr old is not a fucking child anymore.
The pair of you read below macon’s comment

Why are you 2 on this site? I trust you would not dare attempt to joining the Facebook site dedicated to the hatred of the bottom dwelling pond life called the CSA.
You both be torn to shreds with your legislation and law.
Gonk
Being naive sally is entirely your prerogative…
My reply did not actually say lisa was wrong – read it properly.
‘If you actually read the legislation, you would see that was incorrect’
Please stop trolling pet, it’s a getting tadge boring *yawn*.
– grow up Gonk, it’s not mine or Alices legislation.
I’ve no time for your group.
I personally can not see the point of giving parents inaccurate or outdated info, sorry 🙂
Whilst we’re are debating rights and wrongs, may lisa would be good enough to respond to toppers post on the link below, as s/he raises some interesting points.
https://www.csahell.com/im-not-convinced-the-child-i-pay-for-is-mine-12959.html
@ chall… Aha ha ha wrong – incorrect… Different word, same meaning… Unlike you who copies and pastes… Lol
Trolling??? Aha ha ha you are King of trolling… I am just highlighting the fact that you continually seem to forget and that is people come on here for advice they can understand and apply… You copy and paste hyperlinks to reams and reams if legislation that no one understands …. Whatever happened to your “afairersystemforall” signature… Aha ha 🙂 I know… You realised that people were intelligent and informed enough to know that there is nothing fair about you… You are bias and it shows, you are also petty and for me…. entertaining….. Carry on…. 🙂
Sally,
Although there are good and bad PWC and NRP’s, there’s another piece to the jigsaw – good and bad NRPP.
Suppose the good one’s wouldn’t dream of giving a poor NRP ultimatums regarding marriage and insist on everything they own being put into their sole name etc, etc, in guise of it being in their own best interests and save them from the CSA.
Hopefully the poor NRP, who is now even more financially vulnerable, will have no reason at a later date to regret their choices – it’s so sad when adult’s are manipulated and put into a position where the new partner could so easily shaft them 🙁
TTFN x
Who cares about what goes in whose name for CSA purposes, at the end of the day if am man has got a family they are going to protect it from greedy CSA staff, i personally would do it should i need to, if it meant my children had a chance of not being robbed by a greedy PWC then so be it,
I also agree chall that you do tend to help people who you see fit, and you are quite nasty as well when it comes to replies that you have been put in your place so to speak,
Do we not as adults have freedom of speech on forums such as this or is this my imagination running away with itself again
CS3 currently has less than 400 cases open compared to tens or possibly hundreds of thousands of case being open on CS2 I fail to see how it can be concluded statistically that the majority of cases whereby the upper age limit of 20 are concentrated in these cases, or that the CSA staff are concentrating on these cases.
The majority of cases open with CSA are currently on CS2 or CS1 and the majority of case workers are working on CS1 and CS2 systems, the staff working CS3 cases are in the minority.
@ chall, you have spent all this time trying to find my post relating to my situation aha ha you really do need to get a life…
The outcome of our decision to put everything into my name to prevent the CSA and the greedy ex taking more money than the decent NRP could afford has worked out very well… The only person losing out is the greedy PWC :))
We are just about to book our second holiday with the kids and there is absolutely no issues with the CSA as our MP got involved to assist with the false arrears … The ex still bitches but I’m happy enough with that because I have the last laugh… The kids are happier because they get more from their Dad 🙂 So, all in all… We are very happy.. 🙂
Thanks for highlighting the fact that I have achieved so much thanks to the advice provided by you and Alice about following legislation and CSA rules… I would never have thought of my partner becoming a student to reduce payments to the PWC… Thanks again lol lol lol
Ps chall… You shouldn’t judge NRPPs by your own standards…. Lol lol lol
Chall
Wish I could meet you and show you what I feel about you and your spouting off legislation…you dumb arse shit house
Gonk
@ Gonk… chall thrives on upsetting people… he/she clearly has no life when she spends so much of her time reading through old posts to repeat what has been said…
I hope you are well and keeping your chin up!
x
Sorry
I stand corrected…it’s not your chall or Alice’s legislation…..you just pat the pricks on the back that dreamed it up and promote it for them.like Sally says…you actually do fuck all to help any one on here…now you show me please.
All you do is stear people in the right direction in how to be screwed quickly and effectively by the CSA
All you are is a set of fucking instructions and “how to” guide so that the CSA’s job is made easy.
Wankers!!!!
Gonk
…. Gonk and Sally, what a double act lol.
Yer I’m good Sally thanks
That chall tho…..such a wanker jeezz
Gonk
Lol chall
Sally…no….he/she is a patronising wanker
Gonk
@ chall, we are enjoying the entertainment you provide… ‘afairersystemforall’ aha ha ha ha 🙂
Personally I think you need to speak with your dad, The CSA take far too much money from fathers and don’t take there lives into consideration. If you plan to study further why not look for a part time job and speak with your father, if he see’s you have a job and are trying to fund your studies he may help you out without having to go through the CSA and him having to pay for you and your mothers keep. Like you say your 18 and are legally classed as an adult so show your father your trying to take your own responsibillity and speak with him to see if he could help you out financially without the CSA.
