My child hasn’t had any money since June – how can he get away with this?

my ex partner was paying 240 per month, he had another child and told the csa, money then went down to 200.. which was fine, he then informed the csa he wasn’t working. Therefore, my child wouldn’t have any maintenece, I found out this was a lie, sent the csa photographic evidence of him working, gave them his current cv, his workplace etc, they said he still wouldn’t have to pay as he wasn’t paying any tax….

I contacted tax evasion who said they would look into it. I have heard nothing and my child has had no maintence since june, yet he swans about in a brand new car, his other child is in designer clothes, and he has 4 holidays a year, I feel the csa haven’t helped me at all, and my child is suffering because of it.

  1. I’m afraid the whole system is crap! I left my husband 4yrs ago because of domestic violence. It took CSA 2yrs to give him the opportunity to pay as he was employed, so they then had to go for a deductions of earnings. He was made to pay £280 a month for 3 young children and arrears (which now tally up to over £3000) arrears of £30 so I was getting just over £300 for 1 month and he got so pissed off with paying he went self employed and now doesn’t pay anything. Me and my kids are left living in £100 a week to buy food, clothes etc etc. CSA don’t seem to be doing anything even though I have proof of his self employed work!! And he is fighting me now for full custody of his 3 kids and the courts don’t seem to give a shit that he doesn’t pay maintenance for them! I think all us women need to get together and protest these disgusting me who don’t want to support their kids financially but have the law on their side to have contact with them as and when they want!!

What does having a car and going on holiday have to do with anything?? the guy is obviously to selfish to help support his child, leave him in the past where he belongs, he doesnt deserve the title dad if he hasnt given the correct circumstances to CSA, best off without him, unfortunatly you wont get any help off them its just a fact of life that CSA chase easy PAYE targets

  3. @ pussinboots, Stay on this site and keep reading, the law is SOOOO not on THEIR ( meaning the Nrp I presume) side.
    Fathers should support their kids but not through this disgusting vile agency.
    Far too many mothers think that cm from the ex is an income for them and that the nrp’s have a 100% duty of care to their ex and kids and should have no life of his own after the ex.
    @ Georgina, I’m not condoning a father going out of his way to support his kids, but a lot do purely because of this unfair system that bleeds us relentlessly of cash to a point where some dads cannot feed themselfs anymore. Do you think it’s fair that a woman can meet a new partner whom maybe filthy rich and she and the kids will want for nothing but the ex is still bled fully.
    Seems you might be more hacked off that your hubby appears to be doing So well for himself and you want a slice of it. So what if he has 4 hols a yr, nice cars etc etc . Has nothing to do with you.
    Let’s turn the table and you were living the life of luxury with a new partner and because of it,the CSA decided he payed you far less than otherwise ? I’m pretty damm sure you wouldn’t like it.
    Lisa is correct, they don’t bother with the likes of deadbeats like your ex because they have easy pickings from the likes of me on the paye system. Tells us what the CSA is really about don’t you think? Dedicated to bringing the kids out of poverty…my arse!!
