My brother has gone through such a bad 2 years. His ex took the council house he had waited 10 years for. Kept all this stuff, he left the house with his bike.
A court battle in which she paid nothing, lied all the way through. Now none of us can see the kids ever. He was attacked and did not work for a while, tried to get life back and got a flat. Now they are taking 40%; they say this is so he does not get into arrears in the future. She is laughing, and just had another kid so she hasn’t got to work, Its disgusting, she’s ruined his life.

Was this “lady” on the tenancy agreement? if not, your brother can have her evicted in no time. Council will rehouse her and the children, so i wouldn’t think twice about doing it….. very sad to hear that he has no contact with the kids though, family court is horrendous and a total scam. Best wishes.
thing is Melinda none of us know the whole facts of this and why the family courts refused contact to him and the family there are good reasons why some are refused contact like child abuse etc.
if she wasn’t on the tenancy then he could have kept the house but he would have been then hit with the bedroom tax instead.
