If u took on the child and took on parental responsibility as the father to this child I think you do have to pay for it. Unless the real father of the child comes fwd to pay maintenence
How can you get married in 2006 and separate in 1991?
Peter Barraclough liked this on Facebook.
You have no responsibility to this child, get the CSA to do a DNA test, they should by law! And to be fair if this child is over 20 you shouldn’t be paying for him anyway!
If you haven’t adopted him then no you have no financial responsibility for that child. Are the csa not aware you formed a relationship when the child was 5 months old? Why has the pwc even asked the csa to collect maintenance when she knows full well you are not the biological father, paternity fraud this is called and its on the increase.
Also flip side does the child know you are not their bio dad, if you raised him/her from a baby think how s/he must be feeling.
Did you adopt this child ? If so you legally do even though you are not his biological father.
