Maintenance Arrears and Non Payment
I have rung the CSA every month this year to report that I have been under paid. I’ve been passed around departments and been fobbed off and told they were working on my case, trying to get some of the £3600 of arrears back to me.
My ex has just paid the basic minimum and even that is less than he should be paying. Then someone from CSA finally phoned me to say theres a change in my ex’s circumstances, it’ll take them 12 weeks to assess this and I may get no money until January!
Surely there is some way of complaining about the poor service and lack of help I’ve recieved??

You will be paid as soon as the CSA have received money from a NRP’s fictitious arrears.

Hey Kate – your case sounds just like mine. One word describes the CSA – USELESS.
My ex has worked out that he can play the system by delaying sending them info, signing onto JSA for a week, then working again the following week, telling them he has a change of circs etc etc. In the meantime, like yourself, not only am I not getting my arrears, I am not getting my normal payments either.
I have filled in a complaints form via the DWP website, so we’ll see what happend.
It’s worth demanding the speak with a manager, and don’t take no for an answer – though having said that – I haven’t received any money for 11 months!!
Looks like the CSA are in ‘meltdown’. Can’t happen quick enough, for this shambles shut down!

Have u noticed every man leave a flippant comment!! Keep complaining as its helping my case I work full time and now live with a partner but still have payments off my sons sperm doner he lost the right to call himself dad when he walked away the door was left open but 11 years later it has been closed whether he pays or not he had ample opportunitys to return don’t give up on csa as I was left waiting for months now get 400 a month as soon as they can they get him
Some men (and some woman) cant seem to grasp that once you have children – they have to be paid for – supported. Unfortunately this is normal. Join the facebook groups child support agencies failings and others for advice and support on complaining and taking it further.

I have paid and want to pay for my children. What I object to, is being involved in a shambles of an agency that keeps making mistakes and useless politicians doing nothing about it!
What happens between parents and children is for them to sort out in an adult fashion. Fairly, and means tested, so it is in the best interests of all parties, to get a balanced financial package for the children.
Not to be involved with interfering busy bodies, earning bonuses and attempting to criminalise and harass the non resident parent that are all ready paying!
If you and your ex was amicable you could use the new child options but some people use csa as the nrp are not complieant! The csa needs to improve they take the same percentage off everyone why should it be means tested?? If they opened that everyone would be on benifits,
What I did was kept a log of every call and details of who i spoke to. Then after I had had enough contacted my local MP.Seemingly they have a special number to call. Things did progress to criminal complience once she intervened and I now receive some payments and arrears are being paid off allbeit slowly.
