Letter arrives out of the blue and now we have to pay
At the end of January my husband received a letter from the csa claiming he was the father of s child (age 6.5) and the mother now wanted maintenance from him.
My husband is ex army and has a good head on he’s shoulders… He called the csa instantly and disputed the fact he was this child’s father… Has no clue who the mother is and has no clue of ever sleeping with her, if the DNA test came bak he obviously was this child’s father he would do the right thing and pay but untill he had the evidence he was he wouldn’t be paying.
Anyways I decided to contact the lady in question and ask her some questions etc.. though maybe would jog my husbands memorie and he May remember her or even sleeping with her… She made it pretty clear it was purley sex and a one night stand!! She also said she didn’t want him hsving any contact with the child she jist wanted him to pay!
She told me she hadn’t claimed sooner cos she couldn’t find him.. She said the last contact she had was a week after Herr child was born cos she asked my husband for a name for the child (now tbh is it just me or does this sound dodge, why would u ask someone who u had sex with once to name your child, this happened in June 2007 the child was born, me and my husband got together in Jan 2007 and a month or so later he’s room at the army barracks was broken into and he’s phone and other personal belongings was stolen so he actually got a new phone and number so she wouldn’t of had it) anyway, upon contacting the csa they told us she had only made the claim at the end of last year and hadn’t contacted them before that (as I said before she said she had contacted them and them or herself couldn’t find him yet csa use credit ref agency’s to find people and on he’s credit ref file it has he’s addresses for the last 10years… So lying again)
Last week my friend decided to add her on Facebook just to have a nose and to see what she was putting on there and she’s plastered over Facebook that she wants another baby etc but un till her child’s sperm donor pays up she can’t afford one etc… So now she wants my husband to pay so she can have a new baby… Why should hr pay for another child??
She already has one other child with another man so if she had a new baby would be three kids to three diff dads!!
My main point is…who in the right mind after receiving s letter Oit the blue after 7 years would j ist say yes ok ill pay without dispute…. Why should he be liable to pay for the whole DNA test when its her that’s left it this long etc… She should be liable to pay for half…all she’s after is money and doesn’t care about snything else.
Me and my husband have three. children together the youngest being 2weeks old…. Has puta huge Strain on us.. but wee strong and will fight through it… I just wondered if anyone else has been in this position and if there is a way she csn be made. to also be liable to pay half for the test etc… We will be seeking legal advice I just though Ide see anyones respoce…Thank u

I *think* if the DNA turns out to be not his child, she is liable for full costs. Unfortunately they take the view that the mother is right and jts down to the ‘father’ to prove otherwise :/ x

join a group called child support agency rip offs honest its the best option right now post your story and everyone will be hally to help you do not phone the csa no more and use there step by step guide and email the csa demanding a test good luck x
If he denies being the father then CSA will have to arrange a DNA test, if the mother then denies a test being performed on the child or it comes back negative then case closed. good luck
I have done this myself to a man its easy! you can do nothing about it and thats the fact once he is proved to be the father you lose 40 percent of your income and some tax credits. it has allowed me to buy a 40 grand car and adopt two other kids even tho I am actually a lesbian it was the best option for me it lasts 20yrs what other job pays for twenty years without working amd lets you stay at home all day! I habe never worked since and never let him see his son either and I mean never he spent five years taking me to court for contact all I needed to say was that my sone was suicidal and the case is won by me its a dream come true best get shopping in aldi fot your kods clothes because when it does come on top you like my sperm donor will habe arrears to pay to…. happy days

Type in your web browser, Mr U’s complaint Parliamentary Ombudsman. The treatment he received was shocking and its got the potential to be the same as yours. I do not mean to worry you from this, its just to show you what the CSA are capable off. If you know you are right, fight them and do not give up.
