Keep getting passed around when I phone the CSA

I have been paying csa paymentsfor my 3children for nearly 2years which also included arrears i am happy paying but my eldest daughter who was in college at the time left to have a baby, then a year later had another child is now living independently on her own with her children.

I am still paying for her everytime i cantact the csa they pass me around to team leaders who all end up telling me the same thing (ring back next week). To be honest i dont no where to turn im now very depressed and fed up of being treated this way.

Would love some help in resolving this matter.

  1. You can and perhaps should get proper legal advice from a solicitor, look for a family law practitioner or a csa ‘specialist’ and do it soon. From my own experience I would not do anything with the csa by phone. Put everything in writing, send recorded delivery, keep the receipts and insist on a written response. Make a formal complaint (in writing) and send a copy to your MP and ask them to also get involved and advocate for you. If your daughter has moved out from your ex and has her own children then you need to find out if your ex still gets child benefit (or has your daughter reached a ‘cut off’ age?) and if your daughter claims child benefit then there will be a paper trail confirming the situation. It is likely that any ‘backdated’ assessment will only go back to when you made a formal complaint so get that in now. Also ask for a copy of your Data Protection prints (usually a £10 fee) and ask for ALL information they hold on you. Check the Deadbeatdads association website, they have a good pro forma letter which I used. Keep checking this site for stories similar to your own, you may see some info I’ve missed. Good luck.
