I’ve not received my payments in years, can I take CSA to court?

My son is almost 16, in a few weeks and I’ve probably received around £1k in all that time. I took the none resident parent to court about 5 years ago and was awarded a liability order for him to pay me £50 a week off his back dated payments of around 28,000. On top of this he was also told to pay me 6.15 a week going forward. So in total 56.15 a week. I haven’t had these payments made to me in years. The CSA are an absolute pile of the perverbial. I had given up trying because I would wind myself up trying to speak to the numbwits.

I was working a very good job and supported my son myself. Due to several things recently, I found myself out of work, back living with my parents and still can’t get them to pull their finger out. I am totally lost and don’t know what to do. As he works for a family business they agreed to pay the monthly arrangement 18 months ago from his wages. I still haven’t had  anything. The CSA inform me they are looking to take the company to court for breach of contract but in the mea time I am still desperate for money whilst he is living it up. 16 years I’ve supported, cared for and lived my son on my own and need help as to what to do next. Can I take the CSA to court? Can I pay for a lawyer to take it on? Thanks

  1. My children are now Adults 28 & 25 and my ex left me when the youngest was 18mths. Paid bia court until CSA came into being …. worst move ever. Since then until the Kids out of age to receive I would say I have received nothing via CSA even thou I gave them Postcode & Map Refs. I have actually written to them this week requesting all the paperwork relating to the case so I can take it further. I have received a letter back today saying they are processing the request. I will keep you up dated.
But I think all of us should continue to pressure them into compensation.
