I’ve had hassle from the CSA for 20 years
Ive have had hassle from the CSAfor about 20 years now on and off … They took me to court in 2006 when my daughter was 16 and because neather my ex. Girlfriend or my self attaended the court on the particuler day in question the case was dismissed …. They where after just over 9k in socalked arrears …. Now to my horrer they have contacted me again over 7 years later and are demanding over £14k how does this work ?and they have now taken a deduction of earning order which starts this friday … Over £96 a week which by the time i pay rent utilitys and £60 a week to get to work leave me with nothing …. Please help !!!!!

To be fair if you paid your child support you wouldn’t have so much arrears.
I beg to differ with you Pb… thousands and thousands of NRP’s who HAVE paid child maintenance faithfully at the amount specified by the CSA have found themselves in arrears!!!
So it doesn’t matter whether he paid or not, the joke of a CSA would still accuse him of being in arrears….. falsely or otherwise!!
@ Andrew Roberts – ask CSA for your data file (it will cost you £10) and then contact your local MP who may be able to help you deal with those idiots at the CSA…
Together we can change the csa. The law needs to be changed and its not hard for them to use their brain. and this is one reason why. Fathers do need to pay for their children but the way in which payments are worked out needs to change. Like payments are worked out after LIFE bills and taken into account first like food rent etc. Then they also needs to look at the full household income of the mother and take that into account so the money doze go to mums who really do need it not mums who want the use it to pay their new car off why you cant pay your rent.. They need to stop taking into account working tax credits and child tax credits on the fathers side as an income also. Also if the mother will not let you see you kids you should pay less. It the mother gets married or moves in a new partner then that’s a family unit and a parent who hardy sees their child should not pay a full amount. Like this if you agree and for this to change everyone being used as a money cow needs to come together to have there vice heard. Maybe everyone wright a letter to your MP telling what’s happened to you and tell em you want how its worked out to change all on the same day lol?
I agree totally with you micheal Davies and parents who DONT have anything to do with the child for watever reason should NOT PAY these greedy mums cant have it all ways and other peoples children (that belkong to the new partner or born between them) have tax credits paid for THEM not for it to pay someone elses kids WHO GET THEIR OWN tax credits thats disgusting that money is paid for the kids so the kids are now paying for YTHE EX kids too i aggree whole heartedly this agency should be got rid of or change how its paid the family rent mortgage etc food clothes busfare transport to work college etc utility bills etc should be calculated and what is left should be assesed inncase the family have an emergency and the ex money should be means tested whats her money going on??????? should be the kid but yet you see them with fake tans long nails etc coz her money is being spent on the kid looks like it the dads fund their lifestyle while he and his new family are very much in poverty its so wrong…. it needs changing
