I’ve been left overpaying for eleven years

May 18, 2014

I have a single 14yr old daughter, I am assessed to pay 26.7% of my net pay!! under csa old rules.

Under CS2 it would be 12.7% (I have my daughter overnight 95 nights a year).

Under the gross income scheme it would be 12% gross less 1/7 = 10% gross (12.5% net).

Clearly this is grossly unfair!!!

I earn around the national average salary! And live just above the poverty line (60% national average)!

CSA are still saying cases will be transferred when new scheme is working well, this reply to “when will I be transferred” is not acceptable after hearing this very same response for 11 years now.

    Hi David,
I’m in the same situation as you, old csa rules since 2000, promised csa2 but it never happened, now the new csa3 and i doubt we will be moved to this scheme either. I was told by the csa that there are winners and losers in life and in this situation you are a loser.
My only advice is to get onto your mp and ask for them to contact the csa and demand a time scale for you to be moved to csa3. Also maybe pester the csa by email demanding to be transfered to csa3, but don’t hold your breath because us nrps stuck on old csa are treated like shit and put ito false arrears etc.
Basically we are keeping alot of the csa scumbags in jobs, if they transfered everybody onto csa3 they would need to reduce their staff by half.
So you can see why the csa are not keen on it.
Let us know how you get on, and good luck.
    Woody
