I’ve been blackmailed and now the CSA want more money from me
Here we go. This is simply about my alleged arrears even though I paid my maintenance by private arrangement. In 2001 my ex wifes new husband made a claim for JSA and included the children in his claim. I recieved a letter from the CSA telling me to pay maintenance via them for my daughters. Having gone through this 5 years earlier I thought it was just an admin error. I simply phoned them up each time they contacted me and told them that we had a private arrangement. My ex insisted that she had no claim with the csa.In 2008 my eldest daughter came to live with me. By 2010 the CSA were getting serious. The hit me with an attachment of earnings leaving my daughter and I with nothing to live on. After a lengthy telephone conversation the lady at the csa suggested that I make a counter claim. That way my ex would have to deal with the csa and then the case could be closed. What a backfire! After never having any contact with the csa for 10 years my ex tells them she’s never had a penny from me. Now I paid the majority of my maintenance by cash, effectively I was blackmailed and it was the only way I got to see my daughters.
so, i’ve had £1500 stolen(CSA payments) from and now that I’m unemployed I’ve had a liability order taken agains’t me last thursday.
I declared bankrupt in 2006 so have none of my old bank records.Plus obviously the csa don’t recognise bankruptcy.
I have letters from my eldest daughter confirming her knowledge of a private arrangement. Again the csa don’t recognise this.
I have raised complaint through my MP but to no effect.
My ex is a convicted fraudster. I believe part of her lies are because she has committed benefit fraud, whilst taking money from me.
I can’t believe that this is happening after she refused to respond to all letters and correspondence from the CSA for over 10 years!
Does anyone have any other idea’s that I can try to fight this. My daughters are now adults and I’m a Grandad!
So today, when the letter hit the mat that says because we have a liability order we are taking legal action agains’t you, I nearly broke down. I’m a former RAF Policeman, I’m a fighter with a strong sense of justice.. I spent years fighting to maintain contact with my children. But I really am tired of fighting. I’ve just made an agreement to pay the csa. I’m unemployed and can’t afford it,but have to. Please if anyone has any advice feel fee to share it with me.

If you’re unemployed the maximum they should take is 5.00 a week?
I would see your mp again and might be worth giving nasca a try to and help you out.
I can understand why you can’t be bothered to fight, but why should your ex get away with it? Try and appeal any decisions and get it to tribunal, where your daughter will be allowed her say.
Don’t give up, it took us nearly 18 months for the csa to get their acts together with help of our mp, now just waiting on a tribunal because the ex has decided that the csa are wrong and wants what she think she us owed….my husbands kids 24 and 26 with kids of their own and she was given the house when they divorced 20+ years ago, which has been sold at profit…I hate money grabbing witches. I was left with 2 children with no help and just got on with it and didn’t struggle.
Hi mate i really feel for you,
Try your MP again but this time in a letter state that under the peoples and representation act 1985 you have a duty to help me, if your MP still refuses then report it to the parlimentry obudsman.
Challenge the legality of the liability order by way of appeal to the high court, by doing this proccess you can claim your costs back which is £18 – 48 phr under the litigant in persons act 1975
Try deadbeatdadsassciation.co.uk it cost £10 to ask for help and once you have told them your story they will decide weather to help you or not and if they dont then they refund your money
Also if csa are taking money from your benefits then they are breaking the law, section 187 of the social security and administration act 1992 states that certain benefits are inalienable for such debts this includes child benefit and all income related benefit
also if you go down the court route use form ex160 to get exemption from court fees
Bloody wrong . This system is full of shite . If they get a partner then they should take him money into consideration . This system should be stopped… CSA scum ……
