It has been proven time and time again that the CSA has failed miserably

A Fairer system for ALL

Are the proposed changes to the CSA system worth the money that has been spent??? Is ANYONE happy with the proposed changes??

It has been proven time and time again that the CSA has failed miserably (through each stage of ‘evolution’, from CS1, CS1 to CMEC….) to provide a service that ensures that our childrens welfare is looked after. The government has failed 95% of the people who need help the most.

My question is…. when are the people who introduce and develop these ‘systems’ open their eyes and see the facts:

EVERYONE regardless of position, status and culture needs to have money to survive so why on earth do they assume that a NRP doesn’t????

Total income and ESSENTIAL expenditure of both parents (ONLY THE PARENTS) should be considered in the assessments, so many NRPs (male and female) are living in poverty because the CSA ‘system’ does not recognise that they need money to survive too!!! Receipts should be provided on a monthly basis to verify expenditure, payslips and bank statements should be reviewed quarterly too. There is far too much reliance on ‘word of mouth’… usually the PWC’s!

The system is, without a question of a doubt, bias towards females and PWC… it doesn’t have the capability to make decisions based on human factors because it is uses a software package that is not fit for purpose.

The individuals who are employed by the CSA are not capable of making decisions because they either do not have the training and/or are not interested in the wellbeing of another person (including the cild), just the money the ‘system’ is chasing….

How much longer can we, as a society, live like this???

  1. The CSA in general is a waste of money. I think if taxpayers knew the true facts that everyone single person in the UK is paying for this failing Agency there would be an outcry, especially at a time when the country is in such a shambles. It is not until you are involved in it you realise how bad it is.

Corruption within this Agency starts from the very bottom away to the top.

The new system coming in – no-one knows what is happening with it and it looks as though it will be another disaster because it is going to end up fasttracked! I believe they have already delayed the launch of it because of computer problems!!

  2. What is this new system? I haven’t heard anything about it. As for it being more supportive to women I can assure u it’s not. I am the NRP and have been treated like a convict. My ex has now moved out of the marital home and taken my child with out a forwarding address whilst leaving my other child in the marital home which he has stopped making the mortgage payments on so my 16 year old child is living in a house which they coould be evicted from at any time. When I contacted the CSA they were not bothered they just said id he is claiming the child benefit he can still claim for the child. How can that be fair.

  3. I was referring to CMEC Louise…. the 3rd attempt from the Government to get things right (for who, i’m not sure)…. they have changed the calculation formula but the fact is that they still employ the same idiots to manage cases and they still do not consider the fact that the NRP has living expenses (male and female). NRP’s on PAYE seem to be the easiest targets…..

I am sincerely sorry to hear about your situation, it is absolutely appauling that a parent could leave a child without a roof over his/her head but some people are just spiteful and nasty!!! The one thing about CMEC that might work in your favour is that the CSA apparently has the authorisation to take money from your ex’s bank account with/without his concent (call CAB and get the facts though as I have just read this somewhere). I don’t want to mislead you.

I hope you manage to get something sorted either through a solicitor, CAB or your ex coming to his senses.. Your 16 year old child must be as worried as you :'(
