Is there any way I can get a set amount from my drug addict ex?

My babies dad is a drug addict and is more interested in buying cocaine and weed instead of providing for he’s daughter. I’m currently living off 20 pound a week and gaining a little bit of help from my parents, however they cant afford to help at times, i was just wondering if there is any way i could receive a certain amount from him?

thank you.

  1. There is far too much help for PWC out there for you to be forced to live off of £20 per week…

Has the CSA told you that they can get money for you if you use them??? If so, then I suggest you seek help elsewhere… If you get a part time job you will be entitled to working tax credits, child tax credits, you will have your child benefit so could possibly survive fine without a drug addicts money…. After all its about your child’s well being and not they money eh?

  2. Admitting having an ex with problems such as this tells me one thing, that your trying to push him further into addiction, why not help the guy to get clean and have a relationship with his child instead of moaning over a.fiver a week, surely your child having a.relationship with her father is more important than a fiver……….

You touting for business again the man is a drug addict he needs help before he can pay maintenance why are you doing this cause pain and destruction to the PWC and the NRP for what 5 quid a week if you can collect the money off his gyro check !!!

  4. If you do get money off him where do you think he will get his next fix ,yes your are correct us the tax payer one way or another don’t get the csa involved it will be the worst decision you will make for you kid try and get him involved with the kid it may give him the hope and the strength to get off the gear and provide a long term goal to improve his life and his kids !!!!

I’m unable ascertain from the OP if the CSA are involved or not and I would rather focus input on a facts.
