Is there a way round this situation?
Hi,
Firstly I just want to say how helpfull and supportive your website is, im having real big financial issues at the moment as csa are raping me of £250 a month of my £1000 per month wages thats including a £70 a month arrears payment. I can no longer afford to keep ontop of my outgoings and amgoing to have to pack my jjob in.
If my employer says he will pay me as a buisness say I invoice him for my hours and sort my tax myself would there be a way to stop csa from getting a doe or let me choose what I can afford to pay?

Hi there. Get your MP involved is a 1st step. Ask for your data prints at a cost of £10 and you will need to call them and say this level of payment causes real hardship. How many children are they collecting for? Once you’ve spoken to them and negotiated a lower figure for arrears you must only communicate with the CSA via email or written so to leave a paper trail. Good luck
Yes this is what my ex did, if you are in charge of your own tax return then they cant attach a DEO. You would probablies be wise to enlist the help of an accountant to help you with the books and figures so you are paying the least amount possible without breaking the law. My self employed ex got an assesment of 5 per week and if his business is still doing as well as it was when we were together he could earn between 2 and 4k in cash pcm, although according to his official tax return which the CSA base their calculations he earns £400 pcm! Good luck.
