I’m sure if I gave up my job, they’d chase my ex
since splitting from my ex in 2004, left to bring up two boys then aged 4 and 11, and a single mum who was working, I have had hit and miss payments, even though my ex was working.
He ran up arrears of over £11,000. the CSA recently sent me 7, YES 7 letters, all landing on my door mat on the same day for 7 different amounts to be paid to me, ranging from £5 up to £53 per month????
surprisingly I have yet to receive any money. I have been left with 2 children to bring up on my own on a single wage, and my ex is working, as other children and shirks his responsabilities. I BET IF I GAVE UP MY JOB AND WENT ON STATE BENEFITS, THE DHSS WOULD CHASE UP MY EX FOR PAYMENTS.

You state he has other children, this would also reflect how payments are calculated or paid.
Giving up your job would not make any difference in how csa operate I’m afraid. Are you getting everything your entitled to,; tax credits etc?
If his arrears are £11,000 has it gone to enforcement? And are these arrears correct? Have you written a letter of complaint, phoning them does no good.
nop they want .
How can he owe you that money. Did the csa pay you for him to owe then?? If not then he dont really owe anyone.
