I’m self-employed and can’t afford to eat

The way the CSA assess self-emplyed people is insane.

My partner is self employed and when we did his taxes for Apr 2012 – Mar 2013 we provided the CSA with his income and they set his payments at £278 per month (plus some magical arrears which were cleared but seem to have reappeared). As of March this year he’s barely workeed. From January to September he’s earned an average of £129 per week.

Clearly, taking £278 plus arrears (managed to get those down to £40 per month) leaves him about £200 per month for the mortgage, bills, diesel, food and to feed and clothe his kids who stay with us overnight 2 days per week!

Luckily I earn a decent wage so I can cover our mortage etc. I pay for the kids clothes, birthdays, Christmas presents, days out etc. I don;t mind because we’re a family and I love them but seriously? What if we split up?! His payments would be the same. how would he live?

I asked if we could submit Jan – Sep accounts but the CSA thieves said they can only go by tax years, so until March 2014 he has to pay this inflated amount which has no relevance to his current situation.

As you can guess, his ex is on full benefits, living the life of riley going on holidays to Spain and boozing every wekend away while we have the kids.

I’m starting to think the CSA is made up of a load of benefit wallowing single mothers working cash in hand to screw over every man they can lay their scrounging hands on.

  1. Take this advice now and act on it immediately.
    1. cease trading today infirm inland revenue and csa.
    2. start a new business up next week same as before use a new bank account and call it the same as before with 2013 at the end.
3 file the cirrent years accounts and get the tax oberpayment back from last year.
forget trying to get any money back of the single ms with hairy legs lips and toes who run the csa they are all watching jezzza on I pads eating hero s and being fat inhumane dogs as per their daily routine.
4 go to an accountant and see about him taking a direcorship in jis own one man band company, you can then use direcors loans as payments and NOT pay the csa a bean.
5 in future realise this ths more you think you are doing well the sharks are waiting to bite you’re legs off so dont be so hard working do a lot of volunteering and getting only expenses buying new tools clothes and vans for work… are you getting the picture!

how does the directors loans work.

a company can only ‘lend’ £5000 to a director – that is not going to go far? anything above that is regarded as income/taxable if it is not repaid within same year.

i’ve seen people refer to it such as the jimmy carr tax avoidance but he billed his appearance monies etc through an offshore co which then lent him the money.
