I’m disgusted at being treated like an absent parent
I am a single mother after going court 7 times to have access to my daughter . Court order . 50% resident order . 50% school holiday s 5 nights out of 14 . . I was very bad trying to fight to have access to my daughter . 3 days out of court CSA contacted me . Demanding money . I called them asking why is this . There said I’m a absent parent and my daughter dose not live with me .
I have to pay . I sent court paper s order . My accounts went in . After a lot of phone call s were they just shouted at me demanding I have to pay . I got my MP involved . Resolution team as well got involved . But still this seems not to be resolved . Many letters with conflicting things . Saying they will take me court . There will go to my enplyer s . I’m self employed . Then saying I have a third income . I’ve now ask them for evindance of my income . The calication of the days that I have my daughter . And what my third income is . This now been gong on for over 12 mouths . Next thing I have a letter telling I have to go court .
But two day s before there sent a letter which I felt that at last it was right . I’m disgusted by all this I’m not a absent parent . The CSA clearly don’t know what there are doing . I’ve now blocked from my phone as it making me very poorly . Why can no one help me with this I have tryed but it pointless . As I get you need go back court but they are not interested . MP not interested . Is any one . Teresa .

A absent parent is the one the child dose not live with . Even with 50-50% the child will have a main home and from what you have siad sounds like that her father the one that claims child benefit ect for her . if he claim the benfits and has main care you have to pay , The some rules go for women as they do men . If you have other kids then the 3rd income they claim you have coming in will be their child tax credits ect for any other kids u have living with you .
I would put a claim in for child maintenance for him just to be bloody awkward .its not right that if u both have the child fifty fifty that u should pay just because the child’s main address is the dads. If u have to pay when he has your child then he should pay when you do. And yes if u have other children they take a percent of your child tax credit .wrong I know .depends what csa rules u are under as the new one cannot include child tax credits but older claims can x
Unless you are the one with the child benefit rights you are deemed the nrp so if he already has PWC status its not going to cause any inconvenience because the CSA will just reject the claim. The whole organisation is nothing but an I’ll thought out sticking plaster created to appease the most vocal groups during the Major government. Its not fit for purpose and needs massive overhaul x
