I’m close to quitting my job – the one thing that keeps me sane
Hi, I’ve just had two letters from the CSA today stating that I now have to pay £38pw for my two sons who now live too far away for me to see on a regular basis. They are aged 16 and 18 in December this year.
I bring home less than £200pw and because it takes me three hours just to get to work, with steady employment being hard to find in this area, overtime is not an option. My rent is £90pw, council tax is just under £30pw, my travel costs to and from work are £19pw plus I have to pay the bank around £200pcm for an outstanding loan and CC. I have now got a very understanding wife, whom I love dearly, who has an 18yr old son and a 15yr old son who live with us. We barely get by, with using our CCs, so I am not in a position to pay my ex, who gets a lot more than us just in benefits, the £38pw nevermind the first four monthly payments of £294pcm that includes an arrears which I apparently owe.
When my two boys lived with me I never recieved any payments off my ex because the £200+pw DLA benefits that she recieves aren’t accountable. What can I do now? They’re going to start taking payments directly from my wages before I get paid. I feel that I am going to have to give up the one thing that keeps us sane, my job, if this continues.
Please help us!

I have total sympathy for you as I am in exactly the same situation and have absolutely no idea where to turn and nobody wants to listen or help. I wonder how many suicides these evil people are responsible for because that’s how they make me feel. I hope things turn out for you eventually x

First of all Alice works for the CSA and will offer you nothing other than CSA legislation.
I brought up the subject on one thread here regarding essential living cost inc travel cost either it be by rail or car and why the CSA deem the cost as disposable income and therefor subject to being included in assessment.
Her answer was. IT’S YOUR FAULT IF YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE A JOB THAT TAKES YOU TO FAR AWAY FROM YOUR HOME.
Please advise this chap Alice…or at least spout legislation to clarify things for him….I’m sure it will help him no end …..PMSL

Those words above remind you of what I said to you some months back after your unsympathetic reply about travel cost? I reminded you that maybe the Nrp can’t find employment in their own town and has no choice but to go where the work is.
This guy just reinforces what I said and also reinforces that you along with the CSA and idiots that conceived this vile organisation are totally clueless and live on another planet.
