I will record phonecalls with the Child Support Agency (CSA)

I have just had another letter from the CSA telling me that they are applying to have me sent to court or have me banned from driving for two years for failing to pay arrears. I have paid £19,000 to them over the past 4 years and still have to pay £13,000. I have been out of work since last year and have told them on several occassions of this. My wife is working to support us. I made three phone calls to them today. The first one, no one was available from the recoveries section to take my call. The second one, I was placed on hold for ten minutes then cut off. The third one I was told the case officer would call me back and he has not. I was supposed to have a statement sent to me which I have not had. I was even told by one of them that you can’t make payment by giro credit. Yet two months later I received bank giro paying in slips. Guess they must have changed thier minds about that one.

I have two young children here at home. The child that the CSA are chasing the money for is now 20. I asked them how sending me to jail is helping to support my young children. “We are only concerned with the child in the case”. No you are only concerned with the government getting it’s fill. The whole system is as corrupt as the MP’s expenses.

I am going to take a leaf out of your book and record my calls to them from now on.

Good on you for bringing this to attention. This is what will bring about it’s downfall. Justice is coming.
