Have you got that advice in writing on CSA letterhead or is this your incomplete memory of a CSA helpline call many years ago? Without any kind of ‘hard’ proof I don’t think you have a leg to stand on 🙁
im actually really annoyed the csa basically told you his new family came first, all children are important!
That doesn’t sound like advice csa would give, sounds to me he was on old rules and he was nil assessed, maybe for a number of reasons…low income being one?
Did you close the case or is it still open?
My experience is different CSA told my husband and I that his aon to ex who he never even lived with is more important than the 2 children we have together and he also hets a slice of my childrens tax credits..
