I quit the CSA because of their incompetence

November 9, 2010

I worked for the CSA for 2 years and left 2years ago. I left without working my notice as i was astounded at what a complete shower of S..T the organisation is.

I would like to think in my time there i was more than fair, my manager could’nt understand why i felt the need to negotiate(somethingnone of them understands).

My heart goes out to all NRP’s who get stung with totally unrealistic payments. Commen sense is not a word they comprehend. Basically if you speak to someone with respect and compassion, take on board their current situation and cpme to an agreement that is affprdable then they are more likely to be able to carry on making payments. There are NRP’s out there who don’t want to pay, but that is not for the CSA to decide who are the good or bad, everyone should be treated like human beings. I have witnessed clients being spoken to like trash , i was the model CSA employee as i could’nt understand what targets had to do with every day life. The whole system is one big mess, no one really knows what they are doing as the problems have been going on too long.

No matter what any of the idiots say taking someones house, driving license or passport off them is NEVER going to acheive anything. I have never yet seen a story on a child who has suffered because the NRP has not paid. YES you should pay but the CSA needs to be fair to everyone.

    Hi,

Thanks for your honesty about the CSA.

I have just a few questions that you may be able to help with.

    1. Can you tell us which department/location you worked at??
    2. Can you NAME & SHAME some of the “advisors” that aren’t fit to lick the shoes of honest caring NRP’s? (Not just Fathers, some are Mothers.)
    3. Would you be prepared to provide evidence/testimony to back up the FACT that the CSA abuse the powers handed to them?

The CSA were quick enough to NAME & SHAME certain fathers etc in the Newspapers. Isn’t it time that they receive the same treatment back?

If there are honest, caring staff in the CSA, they will have nothing to fear..(this is probably a very small minority!!!)

The phone recordings of the Lies the CSA tell etc should be made public, so that everyone can hear the “quality” of the “Customer Service” that NRP’s are put through on a daily basis.

I look forward to your reply.

Perhaps you can turn ‘whistleblower’ and go on a documentary programme.

I have been the victim of this ‘scum’ for 11 years. MP,ICE,PHSO they are all in the ‘game’ together………..well, there will come a time when they want something from me, and should an MP or Councillor knock on my door, I will be calling the police and making a complaint of harassment. They can give it out……lets see if they can take it?

  • Rach says:

please please take your experience to the press and government it would help so many

  • Helen Greenaway says:

    BRAVO!!!!

  • Peter Anderson says:

Did they actually tell you what was happening to the money collected? That it never reaches the children, nor even the other parent!

  • Julie Measures says:

Well said..you done well to leave..

  • Peter Anderson says:

Or did they just tell you, that the mothers and children will suffer if you didn't make the fathers pay up? And what about your bonuses? Bonuses that go down if you reduce someone's payments. Because the CSA has caused him to lose his job, have a breakdown, etc.

  • Busylizzy says:

    Hi Louise,
Firstly please accept my apologies but after 10 years experience of the csa etc I am sumwot of a cynic ie :-
    1) Why has it taken you 2 years after leaving your job to air your concerns?
2)Why have you chosen now to do so and on this particular site?
3)why choose now to jeopardize your current or any future employment by airing your views so publicly regarding a previous employer when this matter is such a contentious issue?

I have however had the pleasure of 2 Caseworkers in my time who went above and beyond the call of duty in order to resolve major serious fraud isuess regarding my case. Sadly it has been some years since I have had the pleasure of working so closely with any such members. Hence my concerns regarding your posting on this site.

  • Lorraine Moore says:

Words cannot express how much I like the fact that this person has posted. I have no questions for them at all, as their reason for leaving speaks volumes 🙂

  • Susan Ward says:

OH god never thought i would see the day when someone from the csa agrees that it needs to be fair WELL DONE.

  • Jem Pogue says:

I think you should go back there because if "only" everyone that worked there used common sense like you then we wouldn't have half the problems we do !Sadly as 99.99% of there employees are innumerate twats with a vengence to destroy peoples lives then we have to try harder to destroy this abhorrent child abusing mess !!!!!!!!!

  • Martin Muddaphucker says:

  • Paul NoEgo says:

If every government department just had a couple of employees like you the UK would be a much better place. good luck finding new work all I have is respect for people like you with morals.

  • Lorraine Moore says:

The CSA has a very high turnover of staff too..so this person isn't the only one who eventually sees the light!

  • Troy Love says:

    Just brilliant!

  • KMcQ79 says:

PLEASE go to the media with your story.
For too long only one side is presented.
Politicians and civil servants won’t change the CSA.
It will only come from outward pressure.

Any more ex CSA workers want to talk?

    Hi
I am pleased to see your stand I’ve had problems with the scum for 10 years they hav said I owe arrears. The calculation is wrong. My MP is involved. Now is the time to act. So I am calling everyone who has had problems with the scum and take direct action to get the csa dismantled once and for all. How long are we going to take it! I am trying to organise support networks and action groups. Let us not allow the scum to trash peoples lives. Come on comrades! Now is the time to act

  • mark townhill says:

  • JF says:

Can I just point out that the previous poster deserted his wife & child & has made NO effort at all to take responsibility for his child. Now that’s the actions of, as he terms it ‘scum’ & he thinks everyone else should pay for his kid & not him…..
