I pay CSA for my daughter, but ex doesn’t pay for her son
I have 2 children my daughter lives with her mum and my son with me.
I have been paying the CSA for almost 2 years and never missed a payment. I havent received a penny for my son but still continue to make my payments to the CSA. Despite phone calls on a regular basis no payments have been received the arrears are mounting up and no signs of this being resolved.
I would not have gone to the CSA if she hadnt as we have a child each whats the point but then why should my son lose out. The CSA have done nothing to help my case they pass the book each time I call promise call backs which I never receive all they say is they are on with it and will call me in a couple of weeks how long is this going to take to sort its now almost 2 years since I put the claim in and I have received nothing to help support our son!! I have received £0.00 the money owed to me is arrears of 2 years.
If I stopped paying my share they would soon be on to me.
They are a joke and there not funny!!!!
Suggestions of what to do next please!!!!

I was in the same position. The CSA kept telling me that my ex-wife had a nil assessment, when in fact she had money stashed in her mothers bank accounts. It took me two years to get any money from her as a non resident paren. I was hounded straight away by the scum CSA.
It was only as a result of involving my M.P. that I eventually received any money.
One rule for women different rules for men! Not all men are non resident parents, but at least I paid! She was let off!
Go to your M.P. and embarass the hell out of them and this ‘flawed’, ‘useless’ system that has no place whatsoever in our society! CSA/CMEC should be shut down now!
Contact me. I'm researching a documentary about the C.S.A for an independent production company. I have been informed that there is no gender bias but the evidence here indicates the opposite. If you are open to publishing it then let me know.
I cant believe the CSA have been so rubbish with you…no actually…I CAN believe it. No one seems to care though. I hope you get it sorted, good luck.
Thats appalling! Your right…they would be on you if you stop paying.Yours is an unusual situation where your son is with you and your daughter with her mum. Perhaps thats whats thrown them (it doesn't take a lot) Write a letter/e-mail of complaint stating the circumstances that they are BOTH your children and they both deserve equal financial support. Give it a couple of wks to get a reply. If this doesn't work as I've said many times times take copies of every letter, keep notes on every phones call (names, dates, times, crap reasons for not doing their job) and see your local M.P. They can be quite helpful in raising your cases profile. Good luck.
Its not actually an unusual situation. Thousands of dads look after their children most of the time if not full time. If there is a 'single parent (read mum) there is also logically another 'single parent' (usually the father). However, this 'single parent' has no victim-hood and can't claim benefits commensurate with their status as a victim/single parent. Unless one of the parents is dead or has actually gone away (and COULD – if there was the will – be traced through the tax system) the remaining 'NPR PW/OUT Care – or any other neologism the CSA care to label them with -is still actually there and looking after the child. Why pay the state to look after the child that you are perfectly capable of looking after yourself? . Its thrown them because of the gender apartheid. Mum automatically resident. Dad consigned to 'non-resident' by virtue of gender. Then has to 'prove' he is a good dad (and spend thousands in 'court' PLC). No such proof necessary for mum. CSA targets 'present' fathers not 'absent parents'. If it did chase absent parents then all the women who have left their husbands would now be paying CSA. Its a huge feminist con trick.
i agree with Garry, its absolutely true, i was paying through the bank to the CSA and they went behind my back without notifying me on more thanone occasion and took money out of my salary as well. I thought may be my pay has dropped and thats why i got less but whenit happened again i enquired and found out it was the CSA. When i rang them and challenged them they firt didn't acknowledge it and eventually when they did they refused to give me my money back and when i challenged them and threatened them with legal action they then agree that i didn't pay for the next few months and blamed it on a clerical error. However when i made an appeal it took them 19 months to get it in motion. Even the judge at the tribunal had to question the CSA why it took so long, they had no answer. I have looked after my daughter between 16-24 days on average per month in 2008 and 2009 and i have overpayed them, i have shared residency and i keep her 16 days per month. Some day soon i'm going to tell them to get lost because i know i have overpayed. Mr Garry should put all valid points in his documentary. The CSA are biased and are the biggest crooks in the UK after councils who concentrate on parking fines. I want to contact you Mr Garry Clarkson. my email is: shaban69@hotmail.co.uk Thanks
John is pretty right, you have to chase them, get criminal compliance unit on the case to see if she has money anywhere else, if she has money in someone’s elses account, you need to be able to prove its hers, good luck,
