I have proof, but they’re taking my ex’s word for it

I have been charged for £600 for a period i did not pay. The reason why I did not pay through this period was because i had moved back with my ex partner. the payments were coming straight from my wages and i had changed jobs as well.

I have spoken to CSA and they have advised that because i did not cancel i am still liable to pay. I have now split from my partner and having to pay the extra amount. I advised that i have proof to support that i was living with her at the time but they advised that my ex partner disagrees and they are taking her word for it.

  1. If you have proof make a copy of it and supply it to the csa with a letter marked as a complaint then go and see your mp….your ex has committed fraud”if what you say is correct. If the pwc had the claim in its only her that can close it.

  2. As simon Scott points out you are not alone in this one. you will have to make the complaint a level 2 complaint. after which the CSA wash there hands of you. I will suggest that you go to your MP and put your complaint to the parliametary ombudsman. They do kick ass

    good luck

  3. I haven’t seen my children since November and my ex thinks it’s best that I’m not in their life what frustrates me is that they don’t want fathers involved but find it acceptable to still take money from them. I agree with paying money to main parent but how comes this can be forced over a phone call but to see your kids takes months of court visits. Some things are just not right.
