He may have contacted CSA and asked how much he should be paying, cos that doesn’t sound too far from what I’m paying under similar circumstances.
doesn’t seem right that he decided to pass this message to you through your son, but it also doesn’t seem far off what the CSA would probably award, so advice wise would be leave it.
the CSA will start charging you from next year anyway, and seeing as your children are getting older its best you try and keep it as civil as you can for the remainder of the time he pays maintenance.
