If you have done ok up until now why now do you want money? If you’re claiming child benefit then yes you can put a claim in but I’m pretty sure new claims falls under the maintenance option scheme where you come to a private agreement with your ex, if no agreement can be made then a percentage taken if you still go ahead with the agency.
If no claim has been lodged before now then no you cannot get any backdated payments.
I’d be more angry that your ex has had no involvement with your son other than the lack of financial aid. Also are you getting all that your entitled to, ie tax credits etc?
erm yes u can but that just be selfish of u to even try and no it want be back data why wait 17 years then go after his father that messed up. even if u did claim csa when ur son was growing up dose not main u would have had a better life
back dating would be cruel im sorry just 3 months worth of back date my partner had to pay was so stressfull nearly lost our home made him lookk a bad person at work as csa contacted his employer but if you want to get some child support go for it or maybe approach his father if you can but dont screw him no matter how much hate you have etc the padt is the past and kids shouldnt be used as a weapon. x
