I have always paid through the CSA for my daughter because I think its the right and proper thing to do. Plus if its done through the government there is nothing more she can ask for!
I have to say that I’m appalled with the service they offer though.
I have my daughter twice a week every week which amounts to 104 nights she sleeps over. This is without the holidays I take her on and whether its mine or the mums turn to have her over the christmas period.
I have advised the CSA of this however they will not update this on their system as the mum states she doesn’t agree with it. This means that she gets extra money, of course so why would she ever agree to have the maintenance I pay her slashed!?
I do not disagree with paying for my daughter and take responsibility happily but I do disagree with the total lack of honesty from her mother and the lack of responsibility from the CSA in checking up on these matters.

More must be done for fathers who are “Doing the right thing”. The sysytem is geared towards the dishonest and the greedy and this is not on!
I have kept a diary over the last two years of nights that I have had her and even gone so far as to take pictures with a clock or a paper in the foreground to check dates by. Again if the mother disagrees nothing further can be done.
All I can do is sit back and accept that things are not going to get better!

complain to your MP!!
You must appeal and forward this onto your MP, that’s why you pay their salary for. Best wishes.
You are going to have to call the mothers bluff and tell her if she tells the csa the kid doesn’t stay over then stop the sleepovers the mother will panic as she won’t have the free time and job done this worked for me 🙂
You shouldn’t have to but its good your taking photos of your child with a paper in the foreground. Unless the date of the newspaper is clear, suggest you keep the front page and when you see your MP re the incompetent useless CSA you show him them all.
Remember never deal with the CSA on the phone. The CSA are a nightmare to try and send an email to, they don’t like emails as that’s the best proof you’ve got that you’ve sent something. Send all letters recorded delivery and email a copy to your MP.
