I always chase the CSA, they never get back to me
I have been trying to claim maintenance from my ex husband for over a year now through the csa and it has come to absolutely nothing, other than frustration and lots of anger!
They are not interested in my opion, and for every operative I have spoken to, I always get a different story. I have been given hope and told things will be resloved shortly (this was in May) then to be told no you may have to wait longer. They never get back to me, I always have to chase them, using my phone bill.
The last time I contacted them in August they said the criminial compliance will get in touch with CSA around beginning of August. It is now 18th December and I have had no contact from them in all that time. If you can advise in anyway I would very much appreciate it. I work full time and try and get any over time going to make ends meet, and constantly struggle.
Why should the father of my children not have to take any responsiblity for them!

shirley,
Are the agency having a problem locating your ex?
If your not managing to get a satisfactory response, it may be a good idea to escalate your case to a clearly marked written complaint. Keep copies of everything and post signed for.
It may also be beneficial to copy in your local MP, as they may be able to gain answers a bit faster for you.

Agree with above, also you can join the facebook groups Child support agencies failings and others too for advice and support
if the case has been passed to Criminal Compliance Team this indicates that there has been problems obtaining either information or payment from the NRP or the NRP Employer.
1. Has the NRP’s employer and income been established and a Maintenance Calculation been done?
2. If no to above has a DMD (default maintenance decision) been put in place?
3. If yes to no1 – has the NRP set up a Direct Debit and this has failed?
4. If yes to no1 – has a DEO (deduction of earnings order) been imposed?
