How much of what my husband pays will be kept by the CSA?

Just one more question (for now) so my husband got the DNA result 2.5 weeks ago, he is the father of an 8 year child. He knows he has a moral and legal obligation to pay for his child’s upkeep, this is being done via the csa.

We also know the mother is on benefits. My husband is going to have his payments made by DOE, the amount is just shy of £400 (normal monthly payment plus arrears spread over 2 yrs) What I want to know is does anyone know how much of what my husband pays to the CSA keep and how much will the NRP recieve? Thank you in advance

  1. I dunno how it works any more, but I was originally paying my ex £100 every time I got paid until our house was sold. Told her that after that she could have £200 or more. She couldn’t wait tho and went to the CSA expecting to get more. I wound up paying £150. Once CSA had processed it, all she was getting was £54.

  2. She will get the whole amount ,since benefit disregard came into place and they aren’t charging the pwc for the service, yet ! Then the nrp will lose more to the CSA on top of the amount they calculate for the pwc !!
