How could I have arrears?

I wish to make an official complaint against the C.S.A the reason being,,i received a letter from them and it was a bill for £6625..27,, and they also sent me a standing order form to pay £73.27 per week.

They said that he completed an account breakdown for my case and it is showing im in arrears of £6,625.27 .. I am shocked and amazed, that I am in arrears..because I have paperwork showing that on the 10-12-2012 to 02-12-2013 I was to pay £37.00 perweek, which I did regular, and the arrears was showing £0.00.

I also have paperwork showing that 09-12-2013 to 01-12-2014,i was to pay £37.00 perweek and my arrears still showing £0.00 which was paid regular by direct debit.so im shocked to get aletter with such arrears..

Im in full-time employment and struggling to make ends-meet.

I pay £95.00 perweek rent-£21.00 council tax perweek-£12.00 tv license perweek-£4.00 gas perweek-£3.00 electric perweek-£25 petrol perweek-£25 shopping perweek-£37.00 C.S.A perweek-an my other expences are M.O.T-CAR INSURANCE,an occasionly car repairs.

Im stuck in my overdraft with the bank and unable to get out of it,an so I pay over-draft interest each month sometimes I haven’t any spare cash to go out for some pleasure.

So with this new C.S.A increase payment,i will be struggling even more and would be impossible to pay.

  1. I’ve had the same letter. After no contact for 2 years, all of a sudden I am £2150 in arrears! This even though I have paid the amounts that THEY have been setting since 2008.
I also have letter dated Nov 2012, that states my arrears were £300 and would be taken the following month. It also included the following years payment amounts and schedule. The arrears were taken so, in my mind at least, as of Jan 13 there were no arrears.
Fastforward 19 months and here we are!!
I complained to my MP, who in turn wrote to them (as they conveniently failed to respond to MY letter) but will complain via him again
