How can I tell if the CSA are after me?
I hope you are well. Recently I have been contacted by my ex wife. I left her 10 years ago and we had no kids. I suspected her of cheating, packed a bag and left. We have not spoken since.
She has contact me through a third party and informed me that she had a child not long after I left and that the child is mine. I am confident that it is not, When I left I went overseas to find work and have been there ever since. I am happy in a new relationship and have 3 children.
My concern is that I have been offered a position in the UK, a well paid position and I am tempted to return. My worry is that the ex has contacted the CSA about this child and if I come back they will look for 10 years money from me.
This I cannot do as it would bankrupt my family. How do you know if the CSA are looking for you or if she has informed them?
If i go back and my national insurance number comes up I literally cannot afford to pay it if I am required to. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Go back to the third party and tell them your willing to undertake a DNA test before anything else happens, this will clear things up! If she has reported you to CSA years ago and they knew you were abroad they wouldn’t have been able to continue with the case because your out of remit! But definitly demand the DNA test before anything else, you never know she might be pulling a fast one knowing your well paid
1. Get a DNA test.
2. If it’s not yours, get on with your life.
3. If it is yours, pay up.
Why should other people pay for your child?
They can only take money from you from the day u come back . if they try take it from 10 year back they are breaking the law . You can ask for a DNA test for the child she cant say no to it . You can take to a lawyer see what they say also group on here called CSA rip off u can join for help to
