How can I prove how often my child stays over?

For the 1st 2.5yrs of my daughters life, me and her mum have split the care evenly, some weeks I’d have my daughter 4 nights and some weeks I’d have her 3 nights.

I set up a standing order from day one of £25 per week despite the mum getting all the financial benefits that come with being a parent.

A fee weeks ago my daughters mum asked me for more money and upon my refusal she contacted the csa and lied about the number of nights I had my daughter, the csa then contacted me and said unless I have legal proof that I have my daughter as much as I claimed then I either had to agree with the mums false claim or my payments would be based on a default of me having my daughter one night a week.

I reluctantly agreed but stated that her claim was still untrue so as to avoid paying even more money Is there a way around proving how much I have my daughter without going through the courts?

  1. yep. there are many ways of doing this but the best would be a witness statement from someone who knows this as fact. you can turn this into into an affradavit by having the statement sworn at a solicitors.

doing this gives the statement legal clout but there is a fee I reckon £30 – £80
once done the fact cannot be argued unless she can prove otherwise.

    hope this helps
