How can I pay my bills and rent, eat and get to work on £600 a month?

HELP, please!!

ok so i have a daughter from a previous relationship. shes 9 and truly amazing.

let me start with 2008, csa first contacted me, i have no issue in paying for my daughter, so of course we set up a direct payment to my ex via csa.

i paid through the csa for 4-5 months then me and my ex came up with a private arrangement. where i paid her directly which i did for a fair few months.. i saw the money wasn’t going on my child. there fore we changed to agreement to me buying her uniform, clothes, shoes, gadget ect and so on. which was fine. until she stopped letting me see her.

which meant that all type of payments had stopped, if i couldn’t give her what i had bought that was not my fault.

2009 i saw her in march (4 months of not seeing her) all was well we carried on again as normal. this time i was out of work. so csa took from my job seekers. nothing was said.

later on that year i went back to work, but they had moved to Manchester baring in mind i live in hull and do not drive. it was hell. she got all on her high horse again wouldn’t even let me speak to her on the phone. was ridiculous she is my daughter too.. what was i supposed to do??? time went on and october 2011 me and my partner of 3 years had our first son, and the following december my ex let me have my daughter. i was on top of the world.my family whole at last. any way she went to prison (my ex)i only found out because of the news papers.. mum of 4 pregnant with 5th jailed..

so contact stopped again. ive always said to her and her husband if you need anything please let me know ill do my best for my child.. no contact at all was made until i got a letter from csa in february 2013.

my ex was due to come out in 4 weeks time, they lived brigg now still to far.
any way i rang up the csa and asked for a break down of what the costs where, she said that she would send them in the post.. on that call i confirmed a contact number, my address and where i worked.

no contact was made, which brings us to today july!! i got called into payroll at work because of an attachment of earnings, just given the heads up, due to come out 8 days later £395

no contact was made, no court hearing i was to know about, no warning at all.
ive been on the phone to them almost constantly since Wednesday trying to sort it out. they have so much information wrong about my employment when i paid when i hadnt. the fact i have a dependent here they sent all information apparently to an address i haven’t lived in for 4 years.. no one will help me.

i have a family of my own, im the only one in this household that works i provide for my fiance and my 22 month old son… i dont get a huge amount either. this months its a choice between eating or paying rent. how is that fair????

why wont they stop and re evaluate this payment??

admit they are in the wrong..

how can i pay my bills and rent eat and get to work all on £600 for 5 weeks???

please any advice, help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like you could be well below the protected earnings threshold. You need to query this. Also she wouldn’t have been entitled to anything why she was in prison. Get your data file of them. This can help you so you know which direction your going in.
Now I’m not one for saying things like this but you make it sound like the child is better off not living with the mother.

sorry about your plight….. This is what this government re promoting taking from one child to feed another its shocking…. dare I say hardly worth working yet the DWP say they are tackling worklessness creating it mores the like…….. can you go self employed, I am not advocating not giving to your children but the assessmnet (ha bloody ha) isn’t fair one bit…. The pressure will get to you and then you can have a nervous breakdown and go on the sick at least half your mortgage is covered and you’re better off financiay… GB… Greedy Bastards…

01912351024 Ring this number, its complaints review, this is wrong, they must always write to you and tell you what there intentions are, they are nothing but a collections service, ie debt collection, they are not registered by FSA so they cannot give financial advice, get your data prints, they cost a tenner and will hold all info CSA have ever been told/given about you
