How can I get the CSA to listen to me?

August 22, 2010

How Can I get my sons maintenance investigated back a number of years? I have recently found out and have proof that my ex has been giving the CSA “wrong” payslips and now have his original payslip for July and his P11 for last year.

CSA have told me they will not investigate this back as I did not contest the amount at the time (this was because I could not prove he was giving them the wrong info). They have told me they will not accept the proof I have either.

Please help I don’t know where to go for help to have this investigated properly. They don’t seem to be interested that he has committed fraud!!!!!

I thought this system was supposed to benefit the child not the non resident parent.

    Hmmm, as you mentioned fraud.

How exactly did you get hold of these documents? Maybe you or someone else could be liable for prosecution.

  • Sue Reay says:

I was given these documents by his partner who could not sit back and let this man get away with paying £19.00 per week maintenance when his income is in excess of £60,000 per annum.

It has only took 15 years of lying to the CSA and I now have this information they don’t seem to be interested.

This is about justice for my son as that is who the CSA are supposed to be helping!!!!!!!!!

  • Brokenfather says:

So she stole them, and you have happily received stolen property.

I am not in the least surprised that the CSA will not use documents that were obtained by unlawfull means.

  • Sue Reay says:

I would give my child my last penny, shame the same can’t be said for his father!!!!!!

  • Brokenfather says:

Maybe he is too, but is unwilling to give it to you instead ……

  • Sue Reay says:

He does not even buy his school shoes or give him pocket money, nothing extra that would go straight to him and not benefit me whatsoever……….that is how much HE cares

  • Brokenfather says:

Giving money to a child doesnt mean you care about that child and likewise not giving money to a child doesnt mean you dont care about that child.

  • Sue Reay says:

The resident parent has to pay no matter what, they don’t have a choice.

You obviously have the same mentality as him!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is suffer little children……..you bring children into the world and you should support them in every way not make excuses for the rest of their lives as to why you didn’t.

There will always be an excuse…….blah blah blah. I child cannot survive on love alone they need to eat and drink.

  • Miles says:

He should be ashamed of himself. It’s not right that he should be unable to live a decent live but she should also face up to his responsibilities. This type of father gives us good ones a bad name and is why the CSA operates a “one size fits all” policy. If there were not so many dads like this then the CSA would never have existed. Of course there is alsothe issue of fair access rights which causes of lot of the issues to start with.

  • Sue Reay says:

I totally agree, I child should not be used as a pawn in a game….this is not a game!!!! I don’t know how some parents can live with themselves. I would not have gone to the CSA in the first place if he had just paid maintenance willingly.

  • Brokenfather says:

Actually Sue, it’s the other way around.

The resident parent does not have a government body telling them what percentage of their earnings must be spent on their child, it is totally their choice. Some will spend more than others, some less.

The non-resident parent on the other hand has the resident parent backed up by the free to use dictatorship of the CSA to force them to spend a certain percentage of their income by giving it to the resident parent to do with as they wish. The resident parent may spend it on the child, they may not.

People will naturally fight what they are forced to do without choice …..

Go to your MP and make a formal complaint. I have just done that for the way the CSA treated me. i have just had a letter stating my case was up held and the memeber of staff will be dealt with. Without my MP ringing up and sticking his oar they would have done nothing and continued in their manner toward me.http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/Oh from now on refuse to speak to the CSA on the phone, put it all in writing..so far I have 2 different and contradicting pieces of information from them in writing and 2 by telephone. My solicitor, who is now involved, may have something entirely different
