How can I get CSA as a legal but not biological parent?
I have 2 disabled boys, 10 and 13. I am there legal guardian.
I was in a relationship with there mother (same sex) from the birth of her 10 year old till he was 5. I planned to leave her but wanted some kinda parental right over kids.
Long story short she ran away left kids with me to be with another man. So for 6 years I have been both boys legal guardian. She went on to have twin girls with this man but gave no fight to have the boys.
The father I know very little about, seems it was just a casual sex relationship. I want to claim CSA for these boys as far back as I can for both boys off both the mother and the father.
Will I get it back dated? What is my first move to start the ball rolling? Please any one with advice thank you in advance.

If you are receiving the child benefit then you can claim but if it’s your first claim then it will not be back dated.
u want get it back data only from the day you open the claim but CSA can ask them mum bout the boys father to see they can find him though her some how
As long as you have parental rights and get child benefit you are entitled to CSa from the biological parent
Like Becky said it’s only from the date you apply that it’s backdated to
