Please go on to a site called child support agency ripoffs on facebook, people there give u good advice
Visit your local citizens advice who will advise u and also have equipment for deaf/hard of hearing ..Csa send these letters to scare monger..u will not go to prison if u don’t pay within so many days ..usually bailiffs first and often that doesn’t happen either
1st off to putr your mind at ease the CSA lost. they cant put you in prison for this debt it is against your human rights. judge ruled.
I know it is a shock to get such a letter.
you must contact the CSA and expalin that you dont have that kind of money on your person right now. do this in writing not on the phone.
make an offer to repay the amount weekly and state your incomings and out goings maki g the offer reasonable.
at worst the CSA will refuse the offer and take you to court for a liability order.
at court you can make the point that you made a reasonable offer. so court is not scary evn if the CSA make it sound scary.
it is likwly that the court would simply make an order that you pay the amoungt suggested weekly.
at best the CSA accept the offer and you keep up the repayments
see not so scary huh lol
