His employer gets the interest while I can barely keep my head above water

April 23, 2014

I am at my wits end… My daughter is 15 and for 12 years I have had nothing off her father.

In November I contacted CSA and they eventually calculated my monthly amount I asked for the money to be paid into my bank account!!

By January still nothing I rang them again and was told the father had told them he would pay me monthly I told them I had received nothing and wanted direct from employer as told in November after CSA called him they arranged payment from earnings.

By this time the arrears are 4 months over!!!! I received a payment schedule payment on 4/4/14 I am still waiting!!! My daughters father said the amount has been deducted from his wage on 16th fen and march but I have received nothing!!

Rang CSA and was informed the employer can hold onto it till the 19th of the following month. Meanwhile the arrears are mounting!!

He gets to live quite lavishly while I am barely keeping above water!! The customer service at CSA is poor all they say is do not rely on it I said what do I rely on??? This is my money and the only person benefitting is the employer who is accumulating interest!! Please help!!!!

You get benefits for your child so stop trying to cripple him that’s why you get money for your child not for you

Eh that’s very well said but if a man is big Enuff to make a child he is big Enuff help raise a child!!! It’s not free or easy bringing up a child on your own and benefit money helps yes but does not buy everything a child needs in life!! Rant over!

Majority of the mothers, want cash in hand. But don’t tell the authorities she’s getting it coz her other benefits will get cut. So really the csa is a scam

At emma, I’ve been a single mum who worked and found I was getting plenty entitlement for 2 children with no help from their father, it’s called budgeting and not living above my means….rant over!

OP if the money is taken from deo then the employer has until the 19th of the following month to pass it on, it is out of your ex’s hands and no arrears will be mounting up as it’s being deducted. Bear in mind csa lie, in some cases they also take their time in processing anything (get the arrears into the thousands so they can go straight for a deo) and can keep hold of monies in high interest accounts before they pass it on to the pwc…how do you think they make millions in profit? Don’t always blame the nrp for incompetence of the csa, remember they prefer parents to be a logger heads so they pit one against tbe other so no blame falls on them.

Got something to say?
