Just ring the Child Support Help desk and tell them you have been made aware of a significant change of circumstances with the NRP and ask them to do ‘a detailed calculation of arrears’.. If they don’t respond fill in an on-line complaint form.
And find it in your heart to forgive Lisa ( most probably a man, not a woman) Adrian and Terry/Gonk. They have had such bad experiences with their exes they think every PWC is the same so they like to tar them with the same brush.

Lisa, get a sex change operation if you want to pass for a woman. No woman in her right mind tells other women to give up their babies like you do on this web site and to useless NRPs at that, NRPs who often won’t even financially provide for their offspring unless the money is taken out of their wages by court order. In other words by force! No woman would accuse another woman a greedy jealous bitch just for coming to this forum as a Parent With Care and in financial need, without checking first what that family’s needs actually are. Not all mothers have to become working mums just to be able to say they contribute financially the same amount as the NRP. It’s not all about money. Now read my lips: PWC means ‘Parent with care’. NRP ‘Non resident parent’ although it seems in quite a few cases on CSAhell also ‘Not Responsible Parent’. And I don’t mean Terry Norris aka Gonk. I have heard his sad story and what a truly awful bitch his wife must be. That doesn’t mean all PWC’s have to be tarred with the same brush!
But Marcus you tie nrps with the same brush…it took gonk to tell you his circumstances because you judged him before you knew his story like you have done on so many posts.
Nrp’s would gladily support their children but it has to be a fair system….it’s only the bad nrp’s that seem to get away with it and it’s these types that csa should hound, like it was set up to do!
Jo I agree with your last sentence. It was to get at dead beat parents the CSA was set up by Parliament. Instead they leave the true dead beats alone and go for the ‘soft’ targets. The ones that are already contributing and are on PAYE. The true dead beat becomes self employed or is an habitual job hopper. The CSA seems to be staffed by morons, most of them I can’t even understand when they speak. The rules are unfair and need changing. I would be in favour that child support payments could somehow be suspended if the PWC is denied access. I also feel that the NRP should be left with a living wage, some sort of minimum allowance below no-one should sink and which leaves a budget to travel to see or pick up kids in weekends.
However when an NRP is paying through a Deduction of Earnings order, that already tells me something about this person. It is pure and simple an exercise in logical deduction.
1. The NRP was unable to come to a private arrangement with the PWC about their children they brought in the world together. Could be the PWC being uncooperative and greedy and not the NRP’s fault. So examine case 2
2. When Parents can’t make a private arrangement the CSA acts as an independent arbiter. It assesses the children’s maintenance needs and the NRP’s ability to pay. If the NRP is on a job seekers allowance they only have to pay 5 pounds, which is an insult to the child, but it’s the law. So be it. All other NRP’s get some sort of assessment. They now should set up a standing order for that amount. Meanwhile they can fight the CSA to review the amount, but the child/children should not suffer.
3. And this is where I do indeed tend to tar all NRPs who get to this stage with the same brush of suspicion and disdain: If you can’t be arsed to set up a standing order for your child’s maintenance and instead put your own selfish needs before that of your children. If you have to let it come to a deduction of earnings because you consider yourself some sort of CSA warrior or ‘Jack the Lad’ then it is very unlikely that you will get much sympathy other than from some other similarly deluded sub humans. I stress the words unlikely, because in real life there are always exceptions to a general rule and I realise in life things aren’t always black or white and NRPs could get to stage 3 by pure incompetence of CSA staff. If I offended any one in that situation I unreservedly apologise to them. They should share their story on this site and we should all try to help these people. Not howl with the wolves.
