But does he get adaquatevtime with his children? Why should he pay a penny if he rarely sees them. Either he is the hands on dad who helps bring them up in all ways or he isn’t. Some people want it all their own way, sod the needs of the children and non resident parent.
Maybe he is a responsible parent ? Maybe he has a new family to support ? Maybe the csa won’t go for 40% of his wages so he can keep a roof over there heads ?
They can’t take it further if he goes on benefits nor have him for job hopping as it takes alot to prove it….been there got the tshirt and gave up.

I advise that you refrain from harassing your ex partner just because you have a child does nit exempt you or the csa from the laws the very ones you are trying to enforce. I have an ex like you who has been in court more times than quincy and has brought the csa and dwp along for the ride this time it looks like a jail term for sending pyrography to a two year old child and following my new partner and my new kids.. all it takes is a camera.

My wife had the same experience with a job hopping ex. Even being zero rated for several years pretending to be a student and many more years paying just five pounds being unemployed he managed to rack up 12,000 pounds in arrears.
Good news is that he is now paying it all back in 24 instalments and in this way financing his now adult daughter’s wedding planned for next year. These type of debts do not go away, even after bankruptcy. Bad news is that it took 20 years to get the CSA to make him comply and many will not have the endurance to make the hundreds of CSA helpline calls necessary to chase such debts. It’s what your ex will be counting on. Question is how much you blame/resent him to persevere with the CSA or not.
