Ex refuses to pay maintenance through the CSA
My ex’s salary is being capped at £2000 a week because the government dont allow the csa to acknowledge anymore of the weekly salary…for the 15 years i was with him his salary was in excess of £4,000 a week.
I have not received a penny from him since October 2011 for the two boys I bring up 24/7. He doesn’t want them to interrupt his own personal life. I haven’t been allowed to pursue my own life.
He looks after two daughters of his new wife in a luxury country house, he pays £4,300 a month rent so I can not put an attachment to his mortgage. The boys and I are going to be homeless very soon….we have a hostel, YMCA or an undesirable council property. He left his wife and moved into my house, my furniture my everything he came with his DIY manual a drill he had to sneak out of the garage and his powder blue M&S y fronts.
It is a legal requirement to pay maintenance but he just says no. He now owes me in the region of £20,000 but can and does deny paying it. There is no threat… So I get nothing. So please guys I sympathize but it not very nice!!! I have not lied and I have nothing to hide so not bothred about the IP address being shown.
My opinion of men that screw their children out of a life is not good.

im in the same situation,have you thought about going to court for maintenance?
Your ex is typical example of why so many hard working fathers are screwd into poverty by the csa, to make up the imbalance for the treasury books.
Far far majority of dads want to pay but not be forced to pay by this agency….it’s a nasty organisation that only cares about money for the treasury and does not give a damm about the kids. Your case is proof of that.
You see fathers like me are easy pickings.most fathers are not against supporting their kids and are more than willing to come to a private arrangment but sometimes greedy mothers go straight to the csa as mine did because they want more than the father can realistically afford,the csa makes sure he is then bled dry thus making it even more difficult for him to see his kids. PWC is happy because now he can’t afford to see his kids …she gets even more money and so the wedge is made even bigger between parents and the kids…the name on the letterhead is just a smoke screen for a stealth tax…they don’t give a fuck about any of us only the treasury.

If a NRP has income over £2,000 pw, the PWC can apply for top up maintenance to the court once the CSA has made an assessment.

to refer to the title of your thread ‘ex refuses’ – if you have opened a case with the CSA to claim maintenance for the children you have had with him then he does not have the option to refuse to pay for his children. If he fails to pay there are enforcement powers that the CSA can take to establish payments.
