Ex is very successful so why shouldn’t he pay CSA?
I have an 18 year old son whom i have struggled to provide for alone i did not know the whereabouts of his father but recently have found him, when my son was born the father acknowledged that he was his and wanted to see him.
However he never made contact again and then circumstances took me to NZ for a short time, please would you tell me if I am entitled to anything for my son as now he is in his last yr of college and wants to go to further his education at university.
I know he is a managing director of a very successful company and I dont see why he shouldn’t pay towards his sons future, many thanks.

When is your son 19 ?.Is your ex in the UK or a country that ties in with our CS laws.? My ex went to USA for 4 years and the CSA would not even look at the paperwork. When does your Child Benefit stop?
You would be entitled to maintenance as long as your son is not in advanced education. If you still get child benefit then you would be entitled to claim maintenance.
Did you have a claim in before for maintenance? CSA will only assess maintenance from the day they contact your son’s father.
