Ex is a millionaire but CSA still wants 2K per month
Most NRP’s (almost all fathers due to anti-father discrimination in divorce)are keen to support their children. But the CSA maintenance calculation needs urgent reform – it currently takes no account of the (in our case very high) mother’s earnings or (in our case massive)mother’s capital, but seeks to penalise further the father who has been financially crippled by the (as in almost every case) unjust divorce settlement exacerbated by the recession.
Why should a father pay £2000-00 per month for the millionaire mother, who earns £5000-00 per month from her own job as a doctor, to look after two children? It just doesn’t make sense – he should have to pay half of what is deemed to be required to bring up the children, with the mother contributing the other half.

Hmmmmm! no exhonorating comments?????
I've checked through my copies of CSAs calculation rules under the new system (i got a copy through my MP) Allen and it confirms that if a NRP has a joint child/children with their new partner and they are living together then a 15/25% allowance of the NRPs net income must be given BEFORE a calculation is made. Which in effect would mean that if you had one child with your new live in partner, along with your protected income you should only actually have a calculation based upon 25% of your net income. This is their rules so if their not been applied in any NRPs case then they need to get on the phone and ask why, and then get a new assessment done and backdated. They cant quote a 'one size fits all policy regarding collections and not apply it to assessments!! hope this has been useful to some NRPs
I havent paid CSA deductions since 2008…. I was paying arrears at that time…… prior to my PWC applying to CSA for money… she was not happy with me just buying clothes and footwear for my child when I travelled to see him…. but more to the point I did have another child involved….. I had not had dealings with CSA before that time…… I previously was working at temp positions… therefore work wasnt guaranteed and never had interference fromthe CSA until my eldest childs mother wanted money to top up her benefits!!! Luckily! my position now has my PWC and the CSA's hands tied and I am able to continue providing clothing and footwear plus the added bonus of shared care responsibilities and feed my child from my own pockets!!!!However! I still have issues with the CSA's incorrect calculations of arrears and I am on the attack with the evidence!!!!!
Does the PWC being on benefits mean the CSA automatically get involved?? I'm fortunate enough to say I've never had to claim them. I chose to get a job when my ex left, for my own self respect and to enable me to provide my kids with a decent standard of living. As for the NRP, it shouldn't matter HOW you support your child, just the fact that you do. If providing needed clothing and footwear on a regular basis and contributing towards school costs direct then it is money the PWC doesn't need to spend and that can then be contributed to other living costs for the child.I personally do not think there is any acceptable reason for a PWC not to be working at least part time when children become of nursery age and supporting their children (disabilities and severe illnesses aside). Society is quick enough to scream at men to go and get a job and stop letting the taxpayer support your child, why is it acceptable for women to sit at home all day while their kids are in school and get paid for it by the taxpayer??
If a PWC feels they can financially achieve more when not working and that they would be financially worse off working… why else would they not take the financial opportunity to sit on their backsides gloating and booing in front of the Jeremy Kyle show and get paid for it by the taxpayer????
I believe that when PWC is on benefits that the CSA get involved… they certainly did round early 2000…. not sure at current as Ex reaplied to CSA in 2006 or 2007….
That's another cock up the government needs to sort isn't it!! At the very least, they could be prepared for a return to work and made to go on appropriate courses etc to qualify for any government payment and be eventually managed into employment and off benefits. The government ALLOWS these people to vegetate and their own lack of motivation and self respect are keeping them that way.
In fact CSA are prepared to force NRP's into unemployment….. The NRP is no longer able to afford reasonable or comfortable living and is forced by lack of finance to live more affordably on benefits…. Thus assessment with shared care is nil… and assessment without shared care on benefits is £5 per week…. And £5 finances food, clothing and footwear plus school fees?????
this £5 tops up PWC benefits????? or a packet of cigs?????
