Ex goes to Florida and I can’t afford Western

My husband has a child from a previous relationship, they used to go through the CSA when I first met him but stopped them and made an amicable agreement for him to pay her directly. They agreed on a price as my husband was made redundant.

In that time I had I child with my husband and we never put the money down, few years when by and we got married and now expecting child number 2.

He ex partner has Randomly decided that she was going to go back to the CSA. My argue, ent is as it goes on wages I feel sorry for the men who earn good money as they get stung with child maintanece we know this as this is happening to us.

They will not take into comsideration that his child from another relationship is 5 years old and the school fees are free. My son is 2 years old and is in nappies still, that I’m expecting another child, also that I’m have become a housewife as we relocated due to my husband’s work, so he is paying all the bills. This is causing a lot of stress on me as I’m worrying Bout money as we know cause the CSA are now involved he will need to pay more money.

My poor son has to have shoes that cost me £2.50 and his clothes are his older brother from when he was younger!, every male should pay the same amount end off!!!!! We used to pay 200 per month and that seems efficient enough as its ok for them to swan off to America Florida and I can’t even afford to take my son to western for the day!!!!!!!

  1. I completely agree with you. There is no consideration given for 2nd families whatsoever. This had a bad effect on my relationship as my partner and I separated as I, as a mum, felt so guilty not being able to provide for my own kids, yet the CSA were taking 40% of my ex partner’s salary for a child who does not want to see him.

    The system is so unfair

  2. The system is a living nightmare!!!

CMEC (CSA 3) was (apparently) set up to encourage parents to communicate again so that they could make private arrangements regarding child maintenance for their kids but why on earth would a PWC make a private arrangement when she/he can get so much more money using the CSA!!!

The system victimises 2nd families and NRPs who are on PAYE…. both are easy targets to ensure the CSA meet their targets for the year. They are not interested in the fact that their system is breaking families apart and encouraging deceipt (PWC minimising overnight stays to get more money and NRP refusing to pay at all becasue of the amount the CSA say is reasonable (regardless of their essential outgoings each month)).

All the politicians/people involved in producing this system shoul be made to live with it as a PWC (with second family) or a NRP with essential outgoing and limited income…..

It must be great playing god with innocent lives….. :-/
