Even at £750 a month, I don’t have enough to cover the bills
Although I have been paying CSA for years. In November they did a calculation and came up with a figure for arrears . Not to sure how much as they have never put it in writing. Al though I have requested it may times.
In November December and jan they took £2000 a month out of my wages. I contacted them to explain they had left me with no money to live of they replied.
It can take up to 12 weeks to sort it. After the twelve weeks they said my figure should be £497 a month. But they have been taking 751 a month. I called them today as I still had no confirmation about the arrears. Only to be told I have not been paying enough since jan even though its an attachment of earnings. Even at £750 a month I don’t have enough to cover bills.

Trust me when I say you will never win . They take what like . When I asked how they came to amount off arrears they just said they don’t have to prove anything !!!! Funny how every one as the same arrears amount ??? Six and half grand !!!
Together we can change the csa. The law needs to be changed and its not hard for them to use their brain. and this is one reason why. Fathers do need to pay for their children but the way in which payments are worked out needs to change. Like payments are worked out after LIFE bills and taken into account first like food rent etc. Then they also needs to look at the full household income of the mother and take that into account so the money doze go to mums who really do need it not mums who want the use it to pay their new car off why you cant pay your rent.. They need to stop taking into account working tax credits and child tax credits on the fathers side as an income also. Also if the mother will not let you see you kids you should pay less. It the mother gets married or moves in a new partner then that’s a family unit and a parent who hardy sees their child should not pay a full amount. Like this if you agree and for this to change everyone being used as a money cow needs to come together to have there vice heard. Maybe everyone wright a letter to your MP telling what’s happened to you and tell em you want how its worked out to change all on the same day lol? .
Having been hit with the £6400 usual made up figure for arrears in 2009, these useless scumbags stuck a DEO on my income for £300 a month.
The tribunal consisted of an adjudicator who was being paid by the CSA to give a judgment on the case (how convenient). After 45 minutes he said ” I have no jurisdiction regarding arrears. The numpty headed, scumbag, bas–rd.
I am expecting to be stitched up with more arrears in the next few days, as I am about to exit the system. They won’t like to lose an easy target, so I have forecast what will happen in a letter to my M.P.
If this happens, I will not be going back to a ‘rigged’ tribunal, I will be heading to the high court.
In relation to the original post:-
1) Make a complaint to the CSA Chief Executives office regarding maladministration.
2) Make a complaint to the Independent Case Examiners office,
3) Make an appointment to see your M.P. take your paperwork with you and ask your M.P. to forward your complaint to the Parliamentary Ombudsmans office, on the grounds of persistent maladministration.
Complain, complain and keep complaining.
I would suggest having a csa account at a different bank. Pay your wages into one bank, have the CSA use a different bank which you fund by direct debit for that agreed amount. That way you fulfil your obligations and they can’t help themselves to your hard earned when they feel like it.
With regard to calculations, the other factor to include is the child’s age. 0-4 is the most expensive time, so payments should reflect that. Costs then reduce significantly from 5-11 and may increase slightly from 12-18. The flat rate is a nonsense. Also the government needs to work out the cost of raising a child in various say bands so that payments reflect real costs. Also, once the child reaches 18, payments should cease as they are adults.
